Camp Abilities Delaware is so proud of Dr. Coach Bri, who successfully defended their dissertation yesterday!
We are so proud of our very own Coach Bri who successfully defended their dissertation yesterday! Dr. Bri Donnelly has been a part of CAPA since 2008 and now teaches at West Chester University as a faculty member. Their dissertation was entitled, "Waiting on the World (of Allied Healthcare) to Change: How Undergraduate Preparedness Curriculum Dis/Includes Ability."
Dr. Coach Bri, we are so proud of you.

Nighttime activities at winter CADE included a glow bowling party and an indoor snow party! We love learning new ways to move our bodies while having silly fun at camp.
(Video of coaches and athletes having a "snowball fight" with yarn balls and crumpled paper balls.)
Another new sport at camp this winter: Ultimate Frisbee! Our athletes learned the basics of throwing, catching, and offensive/defensive strategies to play in a small-sided Frisbee game. Options for adapted Frisbees are limited, so athletes learned how to communicate with one another, orient themselves to where their teammates are on the field, and throw accurate passes.
(Video of a 3v3 game between athletes and coaches, ending in an interception.)
Thanks to Coaches Kate and Anna for bringing field hockey to winter camp!
