TB rates in the US has been rising since 2020 as resource diversion to the COVID pandemic has plummeted the TB elimination efforts. Nationwide, 2023 saw the highest number of cases reported in the last decade. Most of these recent cases are not instances of novel transmission, but sudden activation of latent infections that were undetected or improperly treated. Click below to read more!

Today, we mourn the loss of Donald Payne. As the US State Representative for NJ's 10th Congressional District since 2012, he dedicated his life to serving the community. Donald Payne was not only a congressman but also a trusted ally in the fight against tuberculosis and a supporter of the End TB Act of 2023 and a friend to TB advocates across the U.S. Our thoughts are with his loved ones during this difficult time.
