We know not everyone is able to attend our Black Cat Blast in October so this year we are launching the Christmas in July Online Auction to allow more people to participate and win great prizes!

We are busy collecting prizes and loading them into the site for a July 15 launch. The auction will go through July 31.

Want to promote your business, goods, or service? We are still accepting items for the online auction and in-person event in October. Items most requested include: experiences such as golf, movie tickets, sports tickets, restaurant gift cards, spa services, and unique items like glass blowing or cooking classes. Kitten Central has taken in 251 babies this season. Up 73 compared to last year, and they keep coming. Do you know how many qualified foster homes are needed for that amount of kittens? The answer is A BUNCH! I want to thank our foster families for opening up their hearts and homes. They are truly the BACKBONE of our mission. Happening now at Kitten Central! I'm really not a fan of late term spays, but I understand the importance of it. This mom was scheduled to go to Animal Spay & Neuter this morning, but she and I had a talk last night. I told her that her appointment was this morning, but she had other ideas! PLEASE SPAY AND NEUTER before this happens! Congratulations Mom.

****VACCINE DRIVE*** for the next 7 days Kitten Central is asking for donations toward our FVRCP vaccines. The cost has skyrocketed to $178 a flat (25 vaccines). We currently have 198 kittens in inventory and each kittens receives 3 by the time they are adoption ready. That means we would like to raise $4229. Dear Supporters, I want to give you some numbers from this season so far. Just intakes 1/1/23 - 4/27/23 = 114 Kittens in our care and this year 1/1/24 to 4/27/24 = 206 kittens. This is still the aftermath of Covid. All spay and Neuter clinics closed during Covid, and the kitten population exploded. For a 48 hour stretch we took in 11 litters. Some sick, some deaths, 24/7 care provided by our wonderful fosters and our management team working together to get through it. This year for BIG DAY OF GIVING, please remember Kitten Central and our fantastic program of saving kittens 0-28 days old.

I am not kidding. We are taking in litter #50 right now. If you have ever wanted to get involved PLEASE reach out to us NOW. You can call or text Sam 530-701-7051 or Katy 916-517-6342. We have litters as small as 2 or as large as 6. Moms w/babies, Babies on Meds and we just got in another litter of 6-2week olds that won't start weaning for another 10 days. This is litter 35 & 36. 3 each. If you have ever wanted to learn how to foster bottle babies Saturday is your day. Complete 1 on 1 training tomorrow with Sam. KC is probably the largest neonate kitten fostering center around and the demand this year is off the charts. Please, please if you have ever wanted to try this call us now. These babies need you, now!!!

Community help needed. Kitten Central has already taken in 34 LITTERS. We have the kitten formula stocked, but now some of the early litters are ready for weaning. We use this plan because of growth and less diarrhea than other brands. The cost has shot up to $3.36 #. A weaning and weaned litter of 4 can eat up 4 # lickity split. Can you send us some at 5130 Fruitvale Rd, Newcastle, CA 95658? The least expensive that I found in with Purina 4 Professional's at $2.68 #.
