Usually, I post here asking for recommendations. Today, I am sharing a recommendation for a local, Wethersfield-based contractor: Stephen Miskell / WestWay Construction LLC. Our neighbor suggested Westway when we needed to repair our back porch. Come to find out the original builder had skimped and not used pressure treated wood. Stephen and his crew carefully rebuilt the porch, replacing the rotted wood and salvaging the synthetic deck top while improving several design aspects for good measure. The work was done efficiently, and the price was fair. Since then, we have called Stephen more than once. For years, we have struggled to find a solid local contractor we felt comfortable with. Westway has our business. Highly recommended, friends.

Today back home in Ireland is know as St Bridget’s day. First day of spring in Ireland.
It marks the arrival of longer, warmer days and the early signs of spring on February 1.
