We at Jimmie Dee's are wanting to do our part for our community! Many of our families we call clients have been affected by the tornado that ripped through our beautiful town. We are now taking donations to help those in need. Some items needed are: flashlights, batteries, baby wipes, ready meals, canned goods with pop lids (or if you provide them without pop lids keep in mind they will need a hand held can opener), air mattress, Gatorade, paper towels,, any gift cards!!! Please...anything that you can donate will be greatly appreciated! Everything donated through us will be freely given to the neighbors in need! Please call the shop if you know of anyone that needs items!

However (& I know it is late notice) it has been brought to our attention of a 6 yr old boy that is struggling with cancer. He has 3 brothers & with all the treatments & hospital visits the family needs our help! Please if you find it in your hearts & can please bring an unwrapped gift when you come to visit Santa. . I was told this may be his last Christmas so lets make it his best!

I will try to also post his page as well. . . the family has a meal fund set up as well. So if you cant make it to see Santa hopefully you can give through his page. . .

As all of my clients/friends know my beautiful Mom ( Charlene Cummings Weathers) was diagnosed with cancer in May of this year. She has done very, very well with treatments & has had encouraging news as of late. . . but. . . medical bills still seem to be coming! My Mom (who is legally blind since 2008) & my wonderfully supportive Daddy make their living from her handmade dresses that I know lots of my clients have purchased over the years but since her cancer diagnosis she hasn't been able to get back to her passion of sewing. So to help them out I am hosting a raffle. I will have lots of local artists' creations along with movie tickets, meals & even a gym membership! Tickets will be sold for $1.00 & $5.00 because we have a wide range of valuable items. The best part is you can choose your spending limit & the items you want to spend it on! The raffle will be carried through til December 9th so that anyone wishing to give your winnings as gifts will have time to do just that. . . As items are brought to the shop I will try to upload pictures so that all who are interested will be kept informed.

Attached is our first item to view. . .this blanket is handmade (yes by myself!) it is crocheted & measures 60 X 70 (which fits a full size bed) It is very usable! Washer & dryer safe & will last for generations!

We have started a food drive for Bridging the Gap! We will gladly take non-perishable food along with cash donations ( I was told they could buy food items at a cheaper rate). Each donation will reflect a discount from our already low prices!
