Did you go on the trip? Our team engineered both the Cactus Sculpture and Show Poster sign for the Power Trip Music Festival held last weekend for Goldenvoice on the Polo Fields in Indio, CA. Rock on!

We were proud to support Team NEGU: Never Ever Give Up, a wonderful organization supporting children with cancer. Their mission is to encourage every child fighting cancer to Never Ever Give Up!

Team NEGU fulfills their mission by CONNECTING with families, bringing AWARENESS to their stories, offering them a network of helpful RESOURCES and sending the entire family continual doses of ENCOURAGEMENT throughout their journey.

The work Team NEGU founders Stacey & Erik Rees continue to pursue in honor of their daughter Jessie is incredibly humbling and we were so honored to be their guests at Nascar in Daytona this past August.

Our next project is underway for Habitat for Humanity of Orange County CA. This is the future site for two single family homes with detached garages, located on Lacy Street in the historic French Park District of Santa Ana.

This four-story apartment project is almost complete. Orlando by Guild GC is located in Los Angeles and sits on top of a one-level subterranean parking.

Another favorite festival, this time we engineered these small shade bamboo structures for Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) 2022.

The "Pageedles" are the miniature version of Bamboo DNA's trademark Pagodas. The engineering and design were a quick turnaround so they could be submitted to the city of Las Vegas for approval.

On the move!

Framing is completed at this 10-lot subdivision developed by WJK Development. Located on Hi Point Street in Los Angeles, these three story residences are complete with sunny roof decks.

Here's a look back at one of our favorite designs from this year's Stagecoach Festival. "Mustang" was designed by Don Kennell a New-Mexico based artist and sculptor. Our team provided the engineering so Mustang could stand tall and withstand the desert winds.

Another completed project in the books! We have officially walked the last of the houses at this beautiful Oxnard community. Shoreline is just 1 mile from the beach and was built by Williams Homes, Inc. The final product looks incredible and is selling quick.

Project progress! Steel beams and framing are up and we are ready to pour concrete on the next 4 units at David Ave. This is a 16 unit small lot project located in Culver City, CA.

Ready for baseball season? This new home development overlooks Echo Park in Los Angeles next to Dodger Stadium! Bruce Court is the future site of 13 modern single family homes built by Planet Home Living.

Do LaB has done it again with Dün.

We performed the engineering on the art installation for the RÜFÜS DU SOL. This year's show was held in November at the Banc of California Stadium. Another cool project in the books.

These dark wings pull you in like a moth to a flame and that experience is exactly what Vita Motus accomplished with their incredible art and design.

We engineered the structure titled "To The Flame" at this year's Sound FX held in downtown Los Angeles this past September.

Remember these iconic Coachella art pieces from 2019? These colorful towers are now permanently located at Dr. Carreon Park in the city of Indio, CA.

We worked with the city building and fire department along with Goldenvoice to get these large art pieces moved and installed.

New CA Balcony Legislation Now In Effect

CA recently passed legislature that requires an engineer or architect to inspect all existing decks, walkways and balconies on rental and for sale properties.

Our latest contract, at 821 3rd Street in Santa Monica, was to perform site observations and balcony inspections while the apartment units were being upgraded.

We anticipate the need for more inspections to come and our team can provide the compliance inspections, repair recommendations and repair design required.

SB 326 and SB 721 applies to for rent and for sale properties respectively and compliance is required by January 1, 2025 with routine inspections every 6 years thereafter.

We're making great progress! These block walls are going up for a new commercial retail project located in Los Angeles, CA.

Lumber prices reached an all time high this year due to the high demand for new houses. Did you know, building in specific regions calls for specific lumber?

This one happens to be the standard in California: a 2x4 frame made out of Douglas Fir. It is a No. 2 grade strength and surfaced green, which means it has more that 19% moisture.

Lumber prices seem to be decreasing at the moment, but we'll be keeping our eye on the building materials market, will you?
