Happy Labor Day! Doing work with some chrome restoration on this spicy Fiat Dino 2400 Spider. We’re OCD in the OC and we just love to use our skills to protect your most valuable investments.

From our Classy Cars studio to the concours lawn – another award winner from last weekend. We performed a complete concours preparation on Joseph Salvo’s real deal 1973 Porsche 911 RS, going over every surface. We’re quite satisfied with the result and the San Marino Motor Classic judges shared our admiration giving this one first place in the E-2 Class. Congratulations, Joseph!

True concourse preparation is not for the faint of heart.
It requires an excruciating, exacting attention to detail and countless hours to get a car ready for judging. Our Big Boss, Jeff Jeppesen should know, having both prepared and judged some of the world’s finest show cars over the last four decades. Last weekend was another good one, as we extended our streak of award winners, such as our dear friend and client, Connie Somers and her beautiful 1951 Jaguar XK120. Congratulations for taking third in class at the San Marino Classic, Connie. Well deserved!

We have a love-hate relationship with black cars. These ebony beauties look so good when properly cared for but are the visual embodiment of a sad trombone when neglected. This is mainly because these dark surfaces make every imperfection that much more visible. We hate the sad trombone, so we hit this Black Raven CTS with a deionized wash, clay bar treatment, three-step paint correction and CQUARTZ Professional Services Finest Reserve ceramic coating before properly curing the finish with Infratech Automotive's short wave IR heat lamps. While we were at it, we cleaned and waxed the jams, cleaned the rims and detail interior. Now it’s less sad trombone and more happy kazoo, or whatever festive wind instrument you favor.

It’s rare, it’s desirable and it was in need of a little love. This exquisite Mercedes-Benz 280SE 3.5 Convertible was in good, not great condition. Our Classy Cars team performed a light paint correction then we cleaned, polished and protected all the chrome, stainless. Nickel and aluminum surfaces inside and out, even going so far as to remove select components to get underneath and into all the places where corrosion could start to eat the plating away. Finally, we cleaned and treated all the leather, and polished and cleaned all the interior wood and k***s. The result is nothing short of spectacular and exactly what this beautiful W111 deserves.

We started with a complete disassembly and parts detail, our four-step paint correction with Dquartz ceramic base, CQUARTZ Professional Services Finest Reserve top coat and complete clear bra, ceramic film window tint and Clearplex windshield skin, OC Wheel Recon refinishing and wheel and caliper high heat ceramic coating before curing everything with Infratech Automotive IR heat lamps. Then we really got busy installing the Dakar rack, fuel and water jugs, bag, tracks, mud flaps and more. That’s right, more than just a detailer.

Our friend and client, Connie Somers entrusted us to take her exquisite 1951 Jaguar XK120 to the next level. We started by cleaning and claying the paint, removing some stubborn overspray and nasty contaminates as part of our signature, four-step paint correction. We cleaned and polished the engine as well as all of the chrome, copper and glass surfaces and even cleaned and treated the all the rubber and leather. Finally, we polished the dash and detailed the interior. Now it’s ready for a show or just a fun drive!

The ultimate beach buggy requires the ultimate stick. Our friend, Flying L Racing entrusted us to come up with a vinyl livery for her beautiful Donald Takayama longboard. The challenge? It had to match the Rothman’s inspired livery on her Dakar. Our friend, Steven Fowle at Wraps by SF absolutely crushed this project. And we’re just stoked to help Lisa shred the gnar in style.

We brought this Carrera back to its former glory! We started with a wash and four-step paint correction, including cleaning and polishing the bonnet, frunk and door jambs before cleaning and polishing the original Fuchs alloys. Then we applied a DQUARTZ ceramic base and CQUARTZ Professional Services Finest Reserve topcoat, finally curing it all with our Infratech Automotive IR Heat Lamps. We performed a nut-and-bolt detail of the motor and cleaned, treated and rejuvenated all the interior leather and stitching. Peak boost 944. We completely went through this 944 Turbo with a wash, clay, four-step paint correction, DQUARTZ ceramic base with a top coat of CQUARTZ Professional Services Finest Reserve. We polished the jams and the glass to remove the stains and brought our friends in from Pacific Match Paint to paint the calipers, touch up the exterior paint and blend some of the trim. We even detailed the engine bay, performed a dry chem interior detail, treated all the leather surfaces and the rubber trim. Time capsule preservation isn’t just our specialty, it’s our obsession. #944
