*Update* Happy Friday everyone. As promised, I want to provide an update regarding the Transportation Center. I'm glad to share that we were able to work out the track testing issue mentioned in my last update https://www.facebook.com/share/p/zRvT1PvQcFALAEL3/ and we are back on track (no pun intended) with our original timeline. The facility will open to the public on Thursday, August 22, with an Amtrak media event scheduled to coincide with the arrival of the first train at approximately 11:24am. This will be a soft opening with full 100% service beginning after August 22. Mark your calendars for September 19th, as we will have the "official" ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Lastly, if you and the fam are looking for something cool to get into this Saturday, please come out to our Newport News All-America City Celebration in City Center. Newport News, you guys seriously DON’T PLAY AROUND! 🤩🤩🤩 Even after a seek shelter order and postponed show, you came back out in FULL FORCE!
