Hello Families,
As a safety initiative for NNPS, all students are required to wear a student ID every school day while on the school bus and on the school campus. The student ID must be properly displayed throughout the school day on a lanyard that is around their necks.
Student IDs have been issued to all KJES students. It is important to remember that the new IDs replace the T-Pass, so students who ride an NNPS school bus to and from school will be able to scan their student ID as they board and exit the school bus. The new IDs will be utilized in the cafeteria for lunch service and in the library to check out books and other materials.
In the event a student misplaces or loses the student ID, a replacement ID will be issued the first time after 3 days to try and find the ID before reprinting. After a replacement ID has been issued once, families will be charged a $5.00 fee for each additional replacement.
Parents should reach out to the teacher and they will let the staff know.
Last week, our very own, Ms Ruffin, received $1000 from Bayport Credit Union to initiate a program called "Cosmic Kudos," which will improve academics, behavior, and attentendance. This will also teach students financial literacy, saving, budgeting, accountability, and responsibility. Congratulations Ms Ruffin!
Our first "Savings Day" is TODAY 9 AM. Make sure to set up your child's account before then to participate this month. Accounts can be set up any time throughout the year.
Don't miss this chance to help your child develop smart savings habits while having fun!
