We have been renovating and opening new offices over the last several years, all to very positive feedback. We our proud of our new office in Norwalk, CT, a market where we've seen tremendous growth. The Norwalk team has had the #1 market share since the first year we opened in 1985. This is all thanks to strong leadership, a stellar group of sales associates and staff who are experts on all our tools and techniques. Our Norwalk managers are very special people: Kate Johnson managed the team for more than 30 years and has recently trained and passed the baton along to Mia Capella, another smart and talented manager who is doing a beautiful job. Kate even won Manager of the Year at age 79! She is passionate about coaching, mentoring, and building relationships; she truly cares about people, which is a major part of our company culture.

We remodeled and redesigned the new Norwalk office to introduce high-tech equipment and eco-friendly, comfortable, modern finishes and furniture for agents and clients. It has high ceilings and a loft overlooking the office. The city of Norwalk has been going through an impressive revitalization and one of their most active and hip neighborhoods downtown is the ideal location for our new office. There is a lot of positive, young energy in the center of town, and it has increasingly become a hot spot for high-end residential developments, retail, and restaurants. Our offices are instantly recognizable -- like a combination of an Apple store, a Starbucks and a Kinkos!

Moving forward, our strong and powerful brand will be simply "William Raveis." Real estate, mortgage and insurance are all important components, but we wanted a strong, recognizable brand that encompasses all these businesses. When I heard that more than 1,000 CMAs were sent out in the first 2 weeks of our Raveis Challenge listing contest, I was impressed! This is an excellent start. I love the proactive enthusiasm to create inventory. The agents who have sent out the most so far are from the following offices: Naples, Fla., Hingham, Mass., and New Canaan, Conn. Remember: The more CMAs you send, the more likely you are to win. The contest runs through May 1 and has 3 categories: individuals, small teams (four or fewer) and large teams (five or more). You will be able to check the contest standings in your branch office and at your sales meetings every two weeks. Keep sending out those CMAs through Moxi Presents!

This is an important campaign to position yourself as the expert, as the knowledgeable real estate agent of choice, and win listings. You're providing an important service to the homeowners by helping them understand the potential value range of their home in this ever-changing market, which has exploded in the last two years. You are providing key information to help them make decisions - whether it be to list or refinance their home. And you're adding value to your communities! Be proactive and follow up!

If you don't have a homeowner's email address, Christa Ross had a great idea on how to capture their attention by showing the benefits of a digital CMA. Sara Swain in Marketing is creating more eye-catching tools with our new color splash, such as direct mail and door hangers. All to entice the homeowner to contact you for a free home market value analysis. Next: send them a CMA! Christa will discuss ways to implement the new campaign on her Morning Boost. She also suggested we add a drawing for the homeowners who reach out to you for an analysis, so we are now adding that to our contest! One homeowner will win a free trip to a coveted destination. Dear William Raveis Family:

We are pleased to announce that the William Raveis Charitable Fund raised a total of $525,000 for the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in 2021. We are incredibly proud of the collective effort put forth by our company this year - more than any other year! After having to take the year off from the in-person Ride + Walk event in 2020, we came back stronger than ever and exceeded all expectations! Thank you to everyone throughout our eight states who participated, in-person or virtually, in October’s event, hosted local fundraisers and sold raffle tickets. Since 2015, WRCF has raised more than $3.5 million total for cancer research! We have funded 24 scientists in 10 institutions from New York to Connecticut to Massachusetts working on cures for 11 different types of cancer.

Since we set out to take WRCF to the next level eight years ago, we have evolved to a program so robust that these funds are truly making a meaningful impact. This year, we are funding 3 Damon Runyon scientists: Luisa F. Escobar-Hoyos, PhD (pancreatic cancer, Yale University School of Medicine), Esther Wershof, PhD (lung cancer, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center), Sangeetha M. Reddy, MD (breast cancer, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center). We are also honored to fund the work of William Kaelin, MD, a 2019 Nobel Prize-winning scientist at Dana-Farber. He was also a Damon Runyon-funded scientist and sits on their Board of Directors. Kaelin’s project has the potential to make major change in treating all types of cancers.

This year was, in every sense, a team effort for the WRCF. For the Ride + Walk, both the money raised and participation were just as strong as they were before the pandemic. Many of the branches had to completely reimagine their local events; many were even more successful than in past years. Also, we had an impressive return of the $10 raffle tickets.
