Hi all-
This is my friend Dr. Dmitriy Urman. Dmitriy and I crossed paths at Bill’s-Newton in the early 90’s. He had recently immigrated with his young family as a doctor from the former Soviet Union. At that time, Dmi was lacking the credentials to practice medicine in the states. Being the ambitious, hardworking character that he was, we immediately hit it off as friends working side by side while he took classes to fulfill his accreditation as an MD in the USA.

Dr. Urman finally realized his dream and began his medical practice. He was an accomplished anesthesiologist for 19 years in Florida. In 2017 he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, loosing his battle in 2018. Dmi was a salt of the earth person, full of optimism. I will be forever grateful to have witnessed his infectious energy and zest for life.

I am proudly joining his family and friends this Saturday, April 30 in Boston at this years Pan-CAN Purple Strides Pancreatic Action Network. Taking steps together to end pancreatic cancer.
