Stunning evening at this week.
I am delighted to share that my photo, Bullough’s Pond Cloudscape: Flecks of Gold, is on display during March in the Boston Camera Club’s Wellesley Library Exhibit. If you’re in Wellesley you will probably enjoy the show.
I am pleased to share my good news that my photo, Bullough’s Pond Cloudscape: Orange Sorbet, was juried into Let there be Light, a show at the Galatea Gallery in Boston’s SOWA arts district on view December 1-31.
It was so calm and peaceful at Bullough’s Pond tonight. A perfect place to listen to Shabbat services streaming live into my ears as I contemplated the beauty of this hint of autumn color.
Bullough’s Pond Cloudscape: Vesuvius is now on display at LexArt. The juried exhibition, The Best of LexArt 2023, is on display in the Nye Gallery through July 30, Tuesday - Sunday, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m., 130 Waltham Street, Lexington. Photo of me by Nicole Mordecai
I cannot resist photographing “my” bike rack whenever I’m on the UMass Boston campus. The sun was in the perfect position behind the lamp post today while I was waiting for Jeff to pick me up. I welcome suggestions for names. Words like solstice, sunset, shadows, and slinky come to mind and then I get stuck.
Beauty in the boring. The wall in an abandoned utility room in the basement of the UMass Boston library.
Cause for concern. My Canada goose family had only three children this morning. The other two were nowhere to be seen…. Anyone see 5 young geese today??? Or two strays??
Local friends are cordially invited to a presentation I am giving on my Bullough’s Pond photos. I hope to see some of you there. https://www.newtonma.gov/Home/Components/Calendar/Event/4422/1592

How can anyone ever get bored with Bullough's Pond when she serves up an infinite suite of light shows every morning and night. May 12, 2023
I saw such a variety of pretty clouds today. And I saw lots of people walking right by not even noticing. Does anyone know what these leaves are called? They can be as tall as my calves are high.
There was a lot of wind at Bullough’s Pond today.
Always different!
A big thanks to all who came to Newton Open Studios and all who were there in spirit. It was a smashing success. Nine photos and lots of cards and calendars now have new homes. Those who missed it and would like to see the photos are welcome to make personal arrangements with me. It was a wonderful first Open Studios, and I am already looking forward to next year.
The camera sees this better than we do. It’s too bright for us to look at directly. I knew there was the potential to see this when I saw the type of ice clouds that refract the light for this, so I pointed the camera at the sun. Passersby we’re oblivious to this delight over their heads. It’s more common than a rainbow. 22 degree halo optical phenomena.
April 29th and 30th Newton Open Studios. Stop by at 1294 Centre Street next to Rosenfeld’s Bagel. 10 artists there selling wonderful art. I’ve got my Bullough’s Pond Cloudscapes and more! See you there!
Please visit me this weekend at Newton Open Studios! I will be at 1294 Centre Street in a former library building near Rosenfeld's Bagels. Park close by in the Newton Center parking lot. I'll have about 20 Bullough's Pond Cloudscapes, 12 enlarged and matted images from my 2023 Bullough's Pond Calendar, 8 Bike Rack photos and some surprises. Nine other artists will be with me, so there is lots of good stuff to look at! Newton Open Studios is a city-wide event. This is the website for the event: https://newtonopenstudios.org/ Make a day of it! Hope to see you. The Cloud photo in the image below is my Bullough's Pond Cloudscape: Vesuvius, perhaps one of the best photos I have ever made.
I am thrilled to let you know I was juried in to the Plymouth Center for the Arts iPhonography 2023 exhibition. The winning picture is a black and white version of a lamp on the Sierra Trading Post building on Needham Street. I'm posting the original photo I took in the first comment. The transformation in a quick edit is amazing! It is so wonderful to share the joy of being in this exhibit with three friends from the Newton Camera Club, Nicole Mordecai, Elisif Brandon (who won 2nd Prize and has two images in the show), and Amy Oppenheimer! There were 465 entries and 65 were chosen. Psyched! https://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-cKZPNT/i-C9JZBT2/A
