Simply Healing

I hear from people A LOT about how hard it is to trust themselves. Are they making the right decisions? Did they say the right things? Are they too much? Not enough? The list goes on and on and on.

But when you get right down to it, most of us haven't even met ourselves yet. And I mean truly. And deeply. The self that is separate from the societal "shoulds" and expectations. So OF COURSE we find it difficult to trust ourselves.

The very exciting and sometimes terrifying thing about this healing journey is getting the opportunity to meet ourselves again. We get to reconnect and rediscover forgotten, discarded, and hidden parts of ourselves. What a gift we get to give ourselves.

We get to come back home.

grateful does not even begin to describe how i feel about this year in regards to my book.

it's getting into more hands and my only hope is that it is a source of hope and strength.

there is ALWAYS a way through the pain.

we are forever learning, growing, and evolving in this beautiful and cruel world. it takes courage to try a new way of be-ing. to begin again from a different perspective. we are all on a journey without a destination, only endless opportunities for another beginning.

now is the time to let go.
look around you,
the earth is showing you the way.

the leaves do not cry out to the branches to hold them tightly
nor do the branches beg the leaves to stay.

just allow the natural rhythm of things to guide you,
without resistance,
into a new season of your own life.

observe the richness radiating from that naked forest
and know,
that even when it seems you've lost it all,
there is still an aliveness
a strong heartbeat sustaining and carrying you forward
until you can once again, as i know you will,
flourish and bloom.
