Producing quality paper starts at the beginning! SPC and guests spent the morning at the Sappi wood yard, seeing firsthand how logs are broken down to essential wood fibers through a series of debarking, chipping and heating treatments. Sappi utilizes 87% of what comes off their harvested trees to produce paper products with the balance used as fuel for the mill.
