Ok,ok we know we’ve been gone way too long and we definitely have missed you all! But we definitely didn’t forget about you! I promised so many of you that if Mona starts feeling better I will convince her to do some goodies and I know many have reached out asking about our apple cider donuts… So.. (drumroll please!) for a limited time ONLY Mona’s famous apple cider donuts will be available for pickup (delivery for bigger orders) in NILES..
preorders are required as she is only taking a limited amount of orders at a time. (she is doing better but she still needs to be careful not to over do it and we are monitoring her closely)
Our boys have offered to help her with the baking part so our house is excited for her to be back temporarily for the holidays at least!
For now we are focusing only on donut orders only (custom cakes if you reach out) but as we get closer to the holidays she is thinking she will offer pies and savory charcuterie boards only..
We don’t know how long her good days will last so definitely get on her schedule now so she can prepare herself! (She has to take certain meds to work with flour)

It’s Pastor Appreciation Month! I had the privilege of being asked to create a cake for some really special people in my life. So grateful for each and every one of them!
The characters aren’t perfect as my modeling chocolate chose not to comply with me this weekend. We still got a huge kick out of it

I recently had a client who reached out to me who remained very near and dear to my heart, who asked me if I could make this very special cake for her. I simply couldn’t refuse.. I love the way it came out…
It’s not every day your oldest turns 17….
But when he does.. you come out of retirement… and it was WORTH IT!!!

Today is going to be bittersweet. This weather definitely mirrors my mixed emotions with cold tears but a beauty behind them.

The lights are dim and emotions are high tonight.
Our last Christmas… tears were definitely shed tonight as we locked our door and turned our sign off.
It was a loooong work week but worth every second to get to see all your smiling faces today.
Thank you to everyone who stopped in this weekend to support us, love on us, or simply to give me a hug and words of encouragement. You all mean so much to us!

Our Story
Hi I’m Mona! The gal behind it all!
It all started 10 years ago in the small space called “my kitchen”. My son’s birthday was around the corner and he had only one request. Toy story cupcakes... Well being the adventurous kind who always takes on the challenge, I made those cupcakes and it brought on an itch that needed to be scratched... with a spatula and a mixer!
It was then that I took all that my mother ever taught me growing up and everything I learned off my biggest admirer The Cake Boss and turned it into the biggest passion of my life. And that was when Mona’s Sweet Spot was born!
For the last 9 years I worked out of 2 home kitchens. Perfected my recipes and my craft and created a brand that I call my own! I mastered my crafts through classes, online techniques and lots of hands on practice!
