Today is June 9th. Most of the blueberries are still green. We are seeing a few of the Draper blueberries starting to change color. We have a few more weeds to hand pull and we will be ready.
All of my bee hives survived the winter. The honey bees are ready for the blackberry , blueberry , and red raspberry’s to bloom. No question, they like the red raspberry nectar the best. Blackberry blossom nectar makes the best honey. We had virtually no blackberry nectar flow the last two years due to freezing temperatures in April.
