Hey yall!
With the Endurance class going to 6:30 Tuesday nights we are considering changing the Tuesday Class to 6:30 on Weds or maybe just having yoga once a week on Saturday morning at 10 until the weather warms back up. What are your thoughts? We need feedback!

Since I got feedback for shorter classes, tomorrow's pre wod yoga class will be at 8:30, 30 mins long, and designed to get your muscles warmed up and stretch out for the wod (and for your day)
Prevent sore muscles, increase range and mobility, and just be all around awesome because yogis and crossfitters are some of the coolest people on the planet, so why not be both!

I need your feedback too! Does hour long classes work for you all r would you rather 30 or 45mins? Is the Tuesday 6:30 time still working or is another night better? And Saturday Morning, 8am, 10am or not at all?
I want to make these classes as beneficial as possible for everyone so let me know what you would like to see!

Attention! We will not be having yoga this Saturday morning. It's my birthday on Sunday so I will be hopefully going to SDC and camping 😊. We will also not have yoga the weekend of HOA, Oct. 26th.

Yoga pose of the week!
Downward facing Dog.
Why it's beneficial: Down dog stretches nearly the entire body. It opens the chest and shoulders, stretches the back, the hamstrings, Achilles' tendons, the neck, calves, and lower back. It also engages the stabilizer muscles, increasing strength.
To perform: Starting in a child's pose, make sure the hands are just slightly wider than shoulder width apart, curl the toes under and on an exhale push into the palms, pushing the ribs toward the thighs, feet are hip width apart, heels are reaching down to the mat, knees are drawing upward, tailbone is reaching for the ceiling, ears are in between shoulders, elbows are internal rotating as knees are externally rotating, and pressure is even in the palms of the hands. Practice at home every day, 10 breaths minimum.

It's going to be a mixed class tonight, starting off class working our stabilizer muscles and finishing with deep stretches and relaxation.

Starting in October I am going to post a yoga pose of the week at homework for you all to work before or after the wods or at home on your own. These will be poses that will help your range and flexibility and overall improve your Crossfit form. Can't wait!

***Attention! This is the last week that yoga will be at 7pm. Starting next week the winter schedule starts and yoga will be at 6:30 following the last wod of the day.
Also I washed the mats (because they were gross) and they are still drying so you will need to bring your own mat or towel tonight. ***
