Longtime KICY engineer Terry Reynolds passed away unexpectedly in January. His request was that his ashes be spread at the KICY towers. His family is in town and will honor that request during a Memorial Service this Wednesday, July 3, at 7:30 pm at the KICY Tower site east of Nome. All are welcome to attend.

We had a very productive first couple days of work on the KICY ground system project. I am so grateful for so many who have come to help, and grateful they were willing to work until midnight last night to get as much as possible done before predicted rain. The rain is here today. Pray with us that it would subside enough this afternoon and into tomorrow that we can complete the project. We are about 75% there.

It is summer! We have work teams here the rest of this week and all of next working on needed maintenance at our tower site. We will need to be off the air periodically to facilitate that. Thanks for your patience. And thanks for your prayers for safety, good weather, and successful completion of these projects.

The Alaska conference of the Covenant Church is holding their annual meeting in Shaktoolik this week. Tune each night, Wednesday through Friday, at 7pm as KICY AM-850 broadcasts the evening service, live.
