3️⃣ Cut Resistant Safety Gloves: ✋🛡️ Our hands are our most valuable tools! 🧤🔪 We discussed the importance of using cut-level 4 or higher safety gloves to protect against potential hazards. 💪👍

Team IDEAL is celebrating the First Friday of November by enjoying tacos and quesadillas skillfully made by David at Tacos El Norteño. We picked up desserts (Flan, Mocha Tres Leches, and Pan de Mu**to) from Dulce de Sueños off Buford Highway.

This is what a professional roofer looks like. He is one of the best in the biz. He takes Safety seriously and is wearing his PPE. I like that he is wearing his harness, safety helmet, safety glasses, hi-viz shirt, and A1 cut gloves. But at Team IDEAL, we are always Seeking a Better Way. It's about continuous improvement. From a PPE standpoint, we can still get better.

A healthy safety culture requires discipline. These monthly meetings are vital for ensuring that we maintain a safe working environment for our team. In our latest session, we delved into three crucial topics:

Truck Inspections: We emphasized the importance of regular truck inspections. Properly maintained vehicles are not only essential for the safety of our drivers but also for the well-being of those they share the road with. We discussed inspection checklists, reporting procedures, and the significance of addressing issues promptly.

PPE Requirements: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is non-negotiable when it comes to ensuring the safety of our employees. We covered the types of PPE required for different job roles, the proper use and maintenance of PPE, and the critical role it plays in accident prevention.

Chemical Storage: Safe and proper chemical storage is essential in preventing accidents, contamination, and environmental damage. During the meeting, we highlighted best practices for storing chemicals, labeling, and ensuring that every employee is well-informed about the chemicals they handle.

RISK MANAGEMENT TIPS FOR ANYBODY RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING AND REPLACING COMMERCIAL ROOFS

✔ Always review a roofer's Certificate of Insurance (COI) and check the Endorsements and Exclusions before allowing them on your roof.
✔ Ensure your roofer carries a Pollution Policy that includes Mold
✔ Verify the presence of a Professional Liability or Errors & Omissions Policy.
✔ Require an Installation Floater Policy to ensure the material stored on site but not installed is covered in case of a loss event.
✔ Look for a Roofer with a $3 Million or Greater Excess/Umbrella Liability Policy. Anything lower and there might not be enough to cover the damage done to your property.
✔ Investigate the Safety Program further if a Roofer has an EMR >1.0.
✔ Enhanced Wind Coverage: Consider adding an increased Wind Speed rider to your warranty, covering wind speeds of 72 or 90 MPH. Prepare for the unexpected and safeguard your investment.
✔ Preventative Maintenance Matters: Prioritize the health of your roof by conducting Preventative Maintenance at least twice a year. A well-maintained roof is more likely to perform effectively and stand the test of time.
✔ Rely on Experts, Not Just Technology: While Infra-Red Scans are useful, don't solely rely on them for detecting underlying moisture. Expert roofers will validate the observations of an IR Scan with other methods.
✔ Consult a Registered Roofing Consultant: For any roofing project, hiring a Registered Roofing Consultant to design your roof and conduct regular observations will ensure the success and longevity of your roofing project.

Today, Team Ideal came together for our Quarterly State of Company meeting, where we reviewed our company's past, assessed our current position, and outlined our future direction.

Additionally, we marked the First Friday of the Month by preparing delicious "ATL Cheesesteaks" (without a hint of Philly influence) and enjoying lunch on the deck.
