JBS USA, a subsidiary of JBS S.A., a Brazil-based company and the world’s largest beef supplier, is another critical infrastructure product to be attacked by a Russian cybercriminal organization. According to Cattle Buyers Weekly, JBS produces roughly 23% of U.S. beef. As one of the four leading beef suppliers in the country, concerns over more extensive shutdowns caused livestock futures to slump in the wake of this attack.
