This customer rode the stock wheels that came with his Argon 18 Krypton GF for ~15,000 miles when he noticed some cracking in his rear rim. While the wheel is being warrantied, he took the opportunity for a wheelset upgrade! We are a big fan of HED wheels; they may not be lightest or flashiest, but they have great aerodynamic properties and are also very durable. These are the HED Vanquish RC4 Performance model, running Continental GP5000 32mm tires. We think they look great. This customer's frame was in a house fire and suffered significant cosmetic damage. We made sure there wasn't any structural damage, then went looking for someone to refinish the frame professionally. However, after being turned down by everyone we contacted, we decided to take the matters into our hands and refinish it ourselves. A die grinder, a flap wheel, and several hours of polishing with a Scotch Brite pad, the frame ended up looking good as new (see the last photo for what it used to look like). We then built it up with top-of-the-line parts from Shimano, Enve, Chris King, Ritchey and HED, ordered some custom decals, and the bike came out looking great! Enjoy your "new" bike, Davis!

One of our best customers wanted to get a new bike. After going through some off-the-shelf options, we introduced him to Argonaut Bikes who make custom carbon fiber bikes in the US. Using the results from our professional fitting service, we worked with Argonaut to get our customer a bike that fits him like a glove and built exactly the way he wanted (and for about the same price or even less than some offerings from other major brands). The results speak for themselves :-)

This bike is built up with the latest 12-speed Dura Ace Di2 groupset, Dura Ace C36 wheels, Zipp carbon seatpost and handlebar, and a 3D printed saddle from Fizik. The stem is custom, made-to-spec by Argonaut.

Here is a cool handlebar we installed recently, it is called "The Kitchen Sink", made by Redshift Sports. This customer went with the optional grips for the tops and the drops, and there is also the option to use a handlebar bag in the loop for extra storage. While it looks a bit unconventional, it felt great during the test ride!

Happy hump day! We really mean it when we say we pretty much work on anything unlike most shops. Here is recent photo from the shop floor to demonstrate; we have an electric folding recumbent that we helped build (and now service), a fat-tire trike that we recently serviced, two very fancy electric mountain bikes, a big-wheel BMX and a normal-wheel one, along with your typical road and gravel bikes. No bike snobbery here!

We love working on cool projects and also experimenting with new gadgets. One of our employees bought a new gravel bike recently and wasn't too happy with the gear range offered by the stock SRAM 1x setup. This is where Ratio Technology came to the rescue with their 1x13 conversion kit for SRAM. It involves a little bit of surgery by opening up the shifters to replace the stock ratchet, in addition to a new cassette, chain, chainring and pulley wheels. But in the end, with the 38-tooth chainring and 9-42 cassette, the bike has pretty much the same high gear as 46x11 and low gear as 32x36, with 1-tooth jumps in the smallest six cogs. And everything works great!
