Times have evolved, and so have our infrastructural needs! The iconic Talmadge Bridge in Savannah, standing tall since 1991 at 1.9 miles long and 185ft high, is undergoing a transformation to meet the demands of modern maritime giants.

The Georgia Port Authority (GPA) has signaled the need for upgrades to accommodate modern container ships surpassing the bridge's original height. In response, HNTB Corporation invited United Consulting to collaborate and offer geotechnical and geophysical expertise for this transformative project.

Our United engineers dug deep into 30+ years of data and used advanced GPR technology to scan the bridge deck. With tricky cables and steel in the mix, pinpointing safe spots for core samples was key.

We are committed to laying a solid foundation for your construction needs, ensuring that every project stands strong and resilient. Stay tuned as we embark on this exhilarating journey of transformation and progress!
