Recently, members of our Helping Mamas team attended the 13th Annual U.S. Conference on Poverty and Basic Needs in Chicago, hosted by the The National Diaper Bank Network . It was an impactful event featuring inspiring speakers and thought-provoking sessions! Our team members from Atlanta and Helping Mamas Albany , along with partners from the Georgia Diaper Bank Network, joined advocates from across the country to connect, learn, and share insights on supporting families in need. This month, we recognize our incredible partner organizations working to combat domestic violence and support survivors. Together, we're building safer communities and helping families break the cycle of abuse.

As we recognize the 30th anniversary of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), it's vital to acknowledge that access to essential supplies, like diapers, plays a crucial role in empowering survivors—especially mothers—by providing them with the stability and support they need to care for their children during difficult times.

By working together, we can continue to uplift families and strengthen communities.

🚲💖 Huge thank you to the team from Sage! Their incredible Atlanta team volunteers regularly with Helping Mamas, but they recently also took the time to assemble these new amazing bikes, which we were able to pass along to four of our partner agencies, Because One Matters, Childkind, Corners Outreach & Meals by Grace Org . These bikes are bringing so much joy to the children they serve, and we’re so grateful for Sage’s continued support in making a difference in our community. Together, we’re changing lives one bike at a time! 💫

We're so grateful to everyone who joined us for our recent mobile diaper distribution at the Hapeville Library! We’re thrilled to announce a new partnership with the Fulton County Library system, which means even more diaper distribution events will now be available as part of their programs and services. We are deeply grateful to our incredible partner Baby2Baby , a national leader in supporting families in need, for their generous donations of hygiene items, formula, diapers, baby blankets, wipes, clothing, and toys! Baby2Baby has played a major role in helping us, especially recently with their incredible contributions to our disaster relief efforts. Thank you, Baby2Baby!! Your support allows us to provide crucial care to families across the southeastern region, and together, we are building a community of care for all mothers to rely on.

A heartfelt thank you to the Center for Black Women’s Wellness and the Atlanta Dream for organizing such a powerful and informative Black Maternal Health Lunch & Learn event! 💖 We are grateful to have been a part of this important conversation, raising awareness and providing support for Black maternal health in our community. Together, we are making strides to ensure every mother has access to the care and resources she needs. 💪✨

A huge THANK YOU to all of the amazing volunteers who came out for our Second Saturday Volunteer Day! 💪🎉 We had over 50 volunteers, including groups from Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation Atlanta, Georgia , Junior League of Gwinnett and North Fulton Counties, and Gwinnett Church of Christ. Together, you helped us sort clothing donations and get our disaster relief diaper supplies unpacked and organized. 🙌 Your hard work is making a BIG difference for families in need, and we couldn’t do it without you! 💖👏

To keep everything running smoothly and safely:
✨ This is a mobile-only distribution – please stay in your car. Walk-ups will not recieve supplies
✨ We kindly ask that no one lines up before the event starts at 9:30 AM to avoid traffic disruptions.
✨ Supplies are limited, so we’ll distribute on a first-come, first-served basis.

We’re expecting a large turnout, and we want to ensure that everyone is served efficiently and safely.

Last week we made three major deliveries to the Augusta area (Jefferson, Columbia, and Richmond counties), dropping off 42,000 diapers to families in need. Thanks to everyone who has already donated—we couldn’t have done this without you!

The first load of many is officially on its way to help those impacted by Hurricane Helene! Our box truck filled with diapers headed off to 3 locations in the Augusta area! Tomorrow our van will be heading off to Clinch Memorial Hospital in Homerville, GA and we have 12 more drop off locations already slotted for next week.

There are so many communities in Southern Georgia have been affected by Hurricane Helene that still need our help. Join us on Saturday, October 5th from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Pace Academy (966 West Paces Ferry Road, NW Atlanta, GA 30327) for a dedicated community diaper drive drop-off event where we will be collecting the following items to serve those affected by the storm.:

+ Wipes
+ Personal Hygiene Items
