Beryl still has some intensifying to do ahead of gradually weakening a bit as it tracks into the western Caribbean where wind shear is forecast to increase. Land interaction with the Yucatan later this week should also disrupt it.
Uncertainty grows late next week as some models signal for a pull north possibly threatening the Gulf Coast. Stay tuned!

Beryl is now a hurricane, the storm is rapidly intensifying, something unheard of for this time of the year.
I can see this storm over-performing and being more intense as it reaches the Windward Islands. Right now, I do NOT see this as a threat to the East Coast. However, it may be something to watch very closely for the Gulf Coast. In my opinion, this is a sign of things to come this hurricane season, more strong storms taking advantage of a very conducive environment. Stay tuned!
Beryl forms and will likely be the season’s first hurricane in the days to come.
Tropical Depression #2 strengthens into Tropical Storm Beryl; expected to be a hurricane as it approaches the Windward Islands.

Cold front pushing through early Thursday morning will likely produce scattered storms & downpours for parts of the area during the AM commute.

Our 1st Heat Advisory of the Summer goes active tomorrow at 11AM and lasts through 8PM calling for "feels like" temperatures to get up to 105°, some may see that but most won't. The hotter day is coming Sunday.

Sunday looks to be the hottest day so far, highs in the mid-upper 90s, 'feels like' temps over 100°. Heat advisories are issued when those 'feels like' numbers get to 105°, it may be close, especially for interior locations farther west.
The record for Sunday is 99°, that may be a close call as well.

We've got a developing situation for Hampton Roads if our weather continues to trend hot & dry. A 'flash drought' is a possibility in the coming weeks. Not good news for our crunchy lawns and thirsty gardens.
