A one-time comprehensive waiver has been created to simplify access to recreational activities at Illinois State University. This waiver must be signed prior to entry, starting in the Spring 2024 semester. Waiver grants access to all campus recreation spaces and activities, including weight rooms, climbing wall, pool, sport courts, group fitness classes, Bowling, and more. Follow these steps to be ready for the Spring semester.

Get ready to elevate your climbing experience to new heights! 🚀 We're thrilled to announce new climbing routes at the climbing wall!
The climbing wall is open Monday-Thursday 4-8:30 p.m., Friday 3-7 p.m. & Sunday 4-7 p.m.!

Family weekend is almost here! Stop by the Student Fitness Center on Saturday, September 23rd, for some games, competitions, and fun. Play all sorts of mini-games in under a minute and compete against other teams. Registration is in person, starting at 5pm.

Take some time exploring the outdoors and making memories on our adventure trips, or compete for this year's championship t-shirt in one of our intramural sports. More registration information can be found on our website.

At our recent end-of-year celebration, we were thrilled to recognize team members who exhibited outstanding leadership and remarkable growth within their roles. Let’s toast to Birds Give Back - Illinois State University’s very own annual day of giving! The Bowling and Billiards Center (BBC) and Esports Project is complete and open! The facility features updated bowling and billiards spaces and a state-of-the-art arena and gaming area. The main gaming side has over 60+ high-end PCs, next-gen consoles, and spaces to play tabletop games. The building is located beside the Bone Student Center and Milner Library.

The climbing area is located in the Student Fitness Center. Access to the climbing wall and bouldering cave is free to all Student fitness Center members. The 47ft wall has multiple routes with various difficulties, so it is very friendly to new climbers, but can still be challenging for returners to the wall. Each member of our climbing staff is belay certified, and happy to help out climbers and boulderers. The space contains over 900sq-ft of climbing space to use, so it is a great way to stay active and meet new friends when climbing. Keep an eye out for special climbing events throughout the semester!

The Bowling and Billiards Center (BBC) is transforming the event room in the building’s south end into an esports arena and gaming area. The completed space will be one of the largest of its kind in the nation at over 11,000 square feet and feature 72 high-end gaming PCs, the most popular and latest generation gaming consoles, space for tabletop games, a broadcast and production booth, as well as student support rooms.
