Founded by Karen Patota in 2000, A Baby's Breath was inspired by a friend's heartbreaking experience at Planned Parenthood and the pure love Karen witnessed in her own newborn's eyes. Since its inception on August 15, 2000, the feast day of Our Lady of the Assumption, the organization has grown from one center to five, offering a range of services including free ultrasounds, housing for pregnant moms, and an independence program to support mothers facing crisis pregnancies.

Over the past 12 years, A Baby's Breath has provided over 80 life-saving ultrasounds to expectant mothers, empowering them to choose life for their unborn children. Despite the rising costs of this essential service, we remain committed to offering these ultrasounds free of charge, as we believe we believe that every penny spent is invaluable when it comes to saving the lives of unborn children and supporting their mothers in choosing life.
