MOKIES stands for Moms Of Kids In Every School. We are a group of active mothers focused on the community of North Attleboro and supporting one another.
Formed in 2010, MOKIES initially was founded to offer children in North Attleboro opportunities to become involved in our community. We currently organize a number of fundraisers, coat drives, and food drives. Before COVID hit, MOKIES volunteers served once a month at the North Attleboro soup kitchen. Our commitment to serving the soup kitchen continues with our Blessing Bags initiative which began in November of 2020.

From Team Lochlan Plainville:
For those of you who don't know him, Lochlan Brown is a full of life Plainville 5th grader with an infectious smile and admirably positive attitude. To know Lochlan is to love Lochlan. He has a way of brightening your day when he is around. Unfortunately, in February, he was tragically diagnosed with brain cancer. While he is going through something that no child should ever have to, he has remained his positive self, and still, even though he may not feel great, is trying to make it to whatever baseball practices and games he can at the PAL this season. He loves baseball and the PAL and the PAL loves him! We want to support Lochlan and his family in anyway we can. We would love for you to join and/or donate to our team to show your support for this brave boy and his family during this unimaginably difficult time.

Let's keep Malia in our thoughts and prayers. Please join me in reciting the prayer below.
Malia,
May you be well.
May you be cleansed and purified of all that isn’t health.
May every cell in your body wake up and fight.
May the powerful light of healing move into every part of you.
May you return to being purely you.
May you be well.
(prayer by Joanna Fuch)
Keep Malia in your thoughts today.
She is in the ICU intubated and sedated but she wouldn’t want you to see her that way. Some blood and fluid in the lungs and bleeding from her apherisis site. She is on oxygen, but she is fighting as always. She is doing better today than yesterday ♥️
May the 4th be with her!!

North Star Reporter Letter to the Editor: Endorsement for Annie Slobogan
"There is a person in town who is filled with positive energy and ideas to make North Attleborough a better place to live and work.
In two short years, she has organized a four-month weekly downtown Farmer’s Market, brought back the beloved annual Block Party, Holiday Stroll and started a holiday Kringle Mart.
She is also instrumental in the downtown business community by leading the Downtown North Attleborough Collaborative with events and monthly meetings to share ideas and initiatives to keep the downtown thriving. On top of this, she is completing her inaugural term as a town councilor by actively participating in meetings and voting on key decisions regarding the town finances and policies.
This person, Andrea (Annie) Slobogan is a vibrant community member who is living out the challenge from the late JFK, “ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country!"
Sincerely, Tracey Magill
