Good Morning!!! Merry Christmas Eve

Good Morning, and Happy Friday!!! Just a couple shopping days left and then we will close our doors for our Christmas Break. Look for us to be closed for a few weeks ( info to come ) and upon returning in January we will be hosting our GRAND OPENING. I am looking for a few high quality Oregon Artisans to fill a few categories in the store for me when we re-open in January. If someone comes to mind, please have them message this page privately. It has been a delightful month of being open. I have enjoyed it tremendously, but also see things that need to be reconfigured as well. This is such a learning process for me :) I am so grateful for the community support and I am so eager to wake up each day and see what God has in store for this place. Some days I see random strangers in here blessing one another from purchasing each others gifts anonymously, to feeling led by the Spirit to pray for them. I see and hear the praiseworthy deeds of our Father every day. I hear stories of addiction, prison, and then the chains being broken and freedom in Christ. I gave God so many reasons that I couldn't open this store. At each and every turn he gently proved my reasons wrong and showed me that it's better to just obey and to quit thinking I'm smart :) I am so grateful for this past month, and for all that God is opening my eyes and heart to. Have a BEAUTIFUL DAY :)

I'm excited to say that a shipment of books just arrived. I have to go pick them up, so look for me to open about 30 minutes late today. Boxes upon boxes of bibles will soon be out on the floor today :) SO EXCITED.

I'm very grateful for the people who have chosen to come in to this store. It takes intention to come in and say "I wish you the best in this new place!" There's so many areas in life that pull at our time, I just want you to know that I appreciate that you carved out time to come say a kind word. The amount of Pastoral Staff in this area that have come in just to introduce themselves is so life giving! There's been so many mall shoppers that just happen upon us - having no idea we were here. It's such a great reaction to watch :) And then, there's the people who come in every day just to sip on a cup of coffee and talk about what God has done in their life that day. I am so grateful to experience all of this! It reminds me of the beautiful passage in Esther.

We didn't open the store for black Friday or today. I was asked to be present for the birth of my grand child, and after prayerful consideration I was led to put that as a priority over being open. I have no doubt that you'll all understand :) Look for us to be open tomorrow from 1 to 6 PM. I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving and Black Friday shopping!

I'm sure hours will be adjusted as we go along, but thru Christmas this is our plan :)

Today we will be open from 1-5 as we unpack lots of new inventory for you to look through :)
This morning I've been reading some of my favorite books in the bible. We are named after two scriptures, as I'm sure most of you know.
JOHN 3:16: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
1 JOHN 3:16: This is how we know what love is:Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.
My word today is GRATITUDE. I am full of gratitude.

I love to share what resonates with me during my morning bible time. This morning I am soaking up Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
I love what this tells us. Today the word HOPE sticks out for me. He is where my hope comes from.

As we receive and unpack our inventory, I want to share something I think is really special. The baby blankets you'll find for sale in here have taken the artisan many days to complete. All of the hours they have spent knitting, crocheting, sewing, and quilting they have spent in prayer over that blanket. Hours upon hours have been spent in prayer for the baby who receives these blankets. I can say the same about the hours spent on each hand painted sign. The same can be said for the table runners, the place mats, the napkins, the burp cloths, the scarves, the bibs, etc. We have spent the last 3 months hand selecting the artisans who work this way. They craft what is their God given joy. They make our items in their "happy place". . . and for me, that is just such a blessing. God has blessed us with a staggering number of artisans who prayerfully create. He is so faithful!
