NASA Astronaut Bob Hines, amateur radio call sign KI5RQT, will make a scheduled contact TOMORROW with a group of students at New England’s Great State Fair — The Big E!
👉Hines will contact the students from the International Space Station (ISS) via an ground station, ON4ISS, in Belgium. Around a dozen students associated with New England Sci-Tech, a STEM learning and makerspace center in Natick, Massachusetts, have been selected to participate. The radio contact will be streamed on YouTube https://youtu.be/hdxnD8uF8t0 (join the stream early). In the US, Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) is supported by , , the National Lab - Space Station Explorers, Amateur Radio Digital Communications (ARDC), and ’s Space Communications and Navigation program.
