We started out 6 years ago with a vision to make a positive impact on people and to serve an underserved customer base. We had some growing pains as our vision changed.

Last year we told you we wanted to be able to bring excellent allergy friendly products to more people. In order to meet that objective we have discovered that we would need a new business model and location.

It is with mixed emotions that we announce the closing of our cafe located on Whipple Avenue. We are currently still taking special orders for the LillyKate Bakery.

Thank you our valued customers for supporting us. Many of you are like family and will remain close to our hearts as we move forward. Blessings to each of you this New Year!

Creative PlaySpace Alert!

Here at Four Kids we want to spread the love, not germs. We’ve had some illness over the last week. We want to give Mr Jason an extra day to recover and sanitize the PlaySpace so...

Happy Thanksgiving! We’re closed today and tomorrow. We’ll resume normal hours on November 24.

As we celebrate Thanksgiving with friends and family, we’ll be closed Nov. 22-23 and will reopen at regular hours on Nov. 24. 🍂

Holiday Hours Update!

With Fall and Winter Holidays approaching we wanted to let you know when we will be closed. Our amazing staff are getting some deserved time to rest and enjoy their families and friends.

We will close at 2 pm on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 and reopen the cafe Saturday November 24, 2018 for regular business hours 8am - 4pm.

Please note that Creative PlaySpace will be CLOSED Saturday November 24.

We will be open on Monday December 24, 2018 from 7am - 12 noon for bakery order pick up and coffee / drinks. (Sorry no lunch served). We will be closed after noon December 24 and all day Tuesday December 25, 2018 ... we reopen Wednesday morning at 7am.

Since we love a clean shop and updated equipment... and celebrating the New Year ... we will be closed the week of December 30, 2018 for holiday celebrations, inventory and annual cleaning / maintenance. We will reopen Monday January 7, 2018 for regular business hours.

Pies!

It’s official. Apple and pumpkin pies have been added to the online order form. A few things to note:

Pie quantities are limited and so we will be strictly limiting order quantities to 3 per family. This way everyone who needs a pie has the option to get a pie.

Pies will be available for pick up Wednesday November 21, 2018 at 10am. Other times may be requested but will require approval.

All pies must be paid for in advance so be sure to check your spam for your invoice! If you do not receive an invoice, please email us at [email protected]

Bakery Alert!

Many schools are celebrating Halloween this Friday. As a result, we have a large volume of orders already in. If you are thinking of placing an order please do so by Wednesday noontime. We don’t want your little ones to miss out on the festivities!

We will also have extra pastries while supplies last this weekend. Happy Trick-or-Treating!

Trick or Treat is right around the corner. Don’t forget the kids with food allergies - Turn It Teal for Food Allergies! We will be stocking up on allergy friendly candy.

If you love coffee - try a Pour Over for a special price of $2. What is a pour over? It is a hand crafted work of art for true coffee connoisseurs. Your barista carefully pours specially filtered water, at exactly the right temperature, over ground, single origin coffee to bring out the flavor profile of the bean. It takes time to make a masterpiece. The real question is - can you taste the difference?

Product news:

Jason, Mason, and Catherine journeyed to the East Expo in search of innovative, organic, natural, allergy-friendly products. In other words - the next great thing we can share with you! And we found a few things we think you will like.

For today’s news - we carry Little Northern Bakehouse bread. We make sandwiches and sell it by the loaf. And while we LOVE the bread, it was kinda small. We are excited to announce that our favorite bread company now offers 2 types of non-GMO allergy- friendly bread in a larger - deli size loaf. Yep - you read that correctly.

We have placed our order so stay tuned for the fall sandwiches on the new bread as soon as it arrives!

Hey all you Creative PlaySpace fans! We wanted to let you know we will not have open play Friday or Saturday (September 14 & 15)!

Mr Jason will be out on the hunt for some new products and ideas. But he will be back and ready for private playtimes and open playtimes next week!

We wanted to let you know that we will not be taking any additional LillyKate Bakery orders for next Saturday, September 15, 2018.

If you need an order for Friday we still have some room - but it is limited so please let us know!!

We have officially switched to our new wraps! For our regular lunch crowd - we want to let you know that our new wrap is larger than our old wraps. Too much? We recommend sharing or taking 1/2 to go! Also, we have a limited supply of snack wraps so we can test them out. If you haven’t tried them - stop in and let us know you’re thoughts!!

Don’t let the warm weather fool you... fall is just about here. That means lots of great seasonal menu items. Yes - that includes pumpkin pie lattes! (Remember - no syrups here... just simple ingredients you use to make a pumpkin pie.)

LillyKate Bakery? Absolutely. Pumpkin coffee cake, pumpkin donuts, apple pie scones... Just keep in mind we make ‘em old school. So when the apples and the pumpkins are harvested - that’s when we start baking!! And when the farmers run out of pumpkins...so do we.

Don’t forget to pre-order your fresh roasted, made from scratch, top-8 allergen free pies for Thanksgiving. They are pre-order only and we have limited quantities will be available.

Update: Cafe Hours

We have given you many updates this week and received some amazing feedback and engagement. Thank you!

We have many more exciting things we are working on and we will keep you posted as we make progress on each area.

One of the other things we have been thinking about is HOW will we get it all done? We have looked at our data and found that we serve an amazing and busy group of people!! Since you are all out actively engaged in enjoying life after school and work, we have decided to close at 4pm for the school year. It’s also a perfect time to allow us to make progress on getting our plans in place.

Don’t panic. If you have a bakery or other order that you can’t pick up until after 4 we will be happy to arrange a time for you to come in and get it. It is our pleasure to serve!

Update: Espresso Bar

You may not have realized it - but we made some changes in the coffee area as well. After our remodel in January we reopened without something - syrups.

We were thinking - everything we do is from scratch. It was designed to give people options - especially when they don’t normally have them. And so our new and (we think) innovative espresso bar was born with our food philosophy in mind.

We take pure ingredients including fruits, spices, seasonings, and oils and let you choose your sweet level and combination. What does that mean? For one thing it means we know every ingredient that goes into your drink.

It also means you can have a latte with just vanilla. No artificial sweeteners that come with other syrups. Or you can have it with non-GMO cane sugar. Or if you want it sweet but no sugar - we have stevia. We mean - “choose your sweet!” (TM)

The beauty is that you can have virtually any drink we make made exactly the way you want without anything extra. None. Zip. Zero extra stuff. That includes our chai which we now make from scratch as well. We can also make some pretty cool drinks you may not find anywhere else.

We invite you to come in and think and drink differently!!

Update: Creative PlaySpace

Many of you know we changed things up a bit in the PlaySpace. For starters, we were getting so busy with large playgroups that the room was occasionally full... and we had some disappointed little Creatives. So we set up an online system that lets you see how many kids are scheduled to play and better yet - reserve a spot on your way!

We also changed the check in times to start on the half hour. This keeps the creative fun uninterrupted for 30 minutes at a time and helps reduce the stress of the kids who hate to see their friends leave. 😢 (it also helps us with safety during check in and check out).

Finally, we have open / drop-in play when its most needed - Thursday, Friday and Saturday. And - thanks to customer feedback - we now offer private play on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for groups of 5 or more kids. To reserve a private playtime just email [email protected].

What’s left? We are working on allowing you to check in and pay before you arrive so kids can go straight to playing without waiting in line. And our Mastor Creative Mr. Jason is working on some fun new activities. Who loves Mr. Jason?

For those of us who have diet restrictions (by choice or by fate) - sometimes it seems the product lifecycle is:

We are on the lookout to bring you those hard to find innovative products and to replace the ones that disappear. We are sad to report that our wraps will no longer be manufactured. We have found a new product we would love you to try.

Here’s what we love about them: 4 ingredients. 20 calories. Lots of nutritional value. Stop in - try one and let us know what you think!

Update: Bakery

If you have been to Four Kids then you know we have a dedicated bakery onsite. We have had many out of town visitors and requests for shipping - which is amazing!

So we have spun off the LillyKate Bakery (still currently located at Four Kids) with its own brand and logo and we are working on packaging and labeling. Soon you will be able to share your favorite LillyKate treats with out of town friends and family.
