James has been a veterinary assistant with Animal Care Clinic for 7 years now! He works Saturdays only now, as he has a different full time job but he loves our patients so much (and his coworkers...maybe just a little bit) that he still sticks around!🐾💜

🐾Heatstroke is considered a medical emergency. If your pet is displaying any of these symptoms, immediately apply a cool, wet towel to their body & paw pads to lower their body temperature. Take them to the ER immediately!

We do adopt out of county/ state, the adoption fee will be $14 less because you will not receive a Stark dog license. The adoption fee includes the following: Stark OH license good for this calendar year, DA2PP, Bordetella vaccine, and rabies when age appropriate.
Heartworm testing, dewormer, and spay/neuter. Flea treatment will be provided if fleas are noticed. All dogs will be spayed/neutered and microchipped before leaving the facility. An e-collar may be purchased for $15.00. Because most of our dogs were picked up as strays, we have no knowledge of any behavior or health issues. Stray dogs are held for 72 hours so that the owners have a chance to redeem them. After that time they are vetted and placed up for adoption.

All dogs listed as on HOLD are NOT available for viewing by the public, unless you are their owner.
Once a dog is no longer on HOLD, it is able to be viewed by the public, participate in meet & greets, and be adopted!
All dogs listed as OWNER REDEEM ONLY, means they will be adopted by the person who found them if the owner doesn't come forward. They will not be available for public adoption.
All dogs listed as MEDICAL HOLD, are not available for adoption until medically cleared by vet staff.

Introducing Animal Care Clinic's newest foster cat, Nico! 😻

Nico is a big ole sweetheart with lots of love to share! This handsome, plus sized tuxedo cat has just started his weight loss journey with us by following a strict diet and getting in his steps by playing with our mischievous clinic cat, Pistachio. He currently weighs an ACC record breaking, 28.75lbs, which breaks the chonk scale! 🙀
