Accessible trail build for the Effingham Conservation Commission at the Pine River Cherubini Preserve. Interesting to be working on the edge of a massive wetland ecosystem.
Summer season is the busy season! I have been lucky to be working on a projects around the MWV, nothing beats working close to home. Trail work in Marshall Conservation Area, Red Tail Trail mixed with some stone and site work. Each site with its own amazing views.
Last couple weeks of projects with some great weather. Some improvements , lot cleanup and concrete pad prep.
Spring has been busy with various projects, including a few weeks rebuilding part of Charlie Don’t Surf and cleaning up the trails for , site visits, a couple backyard projects, and helping raise a barn frame, a new experience for me.
Thanks to and all the community volunteers that have help get our local trails going, it takes a lot of time and effort every season!
Not your typical site visit, the beginning stages of a pretty unique bike park project on Nantucket Island.
Looking back at a private build from back in 2021, great clients and some interesting property to work on.
Looking back at some of projects from 2023 season. Another awsome year of projects at some great sites.
The 2024 season is quickly approaching. If you have a trail or earthwork project let me know, my season is almost booked.
Busy start to ‘winter’ both on and off the trails. 2023 was a great year with some great projects. There is snow on the ground now but these pictures of Smarts Brook were from the first week of January, pretty wild!
Interesting to picture what New Hampshire winters will be like in another couple decades. Will snowpack at lower elevations be a thing of the past? Will MTB trail networks be open year round?
Scouting and flagging some winter time trails. Lots of views, raspberries, and slash.
Work the last few weeks in Smarts Brook and some trenching for electrical service.
Demo with a view
The 302 is back playing in the sand at Smarts Brook in Campton, while the 304 is working on some remote driveway work in Jackson. .sport.institute
Completed phase 1 of a private project. Multiple bridges, large set of stone steps, natural surface and Ledge Pak trails this one has a bit of everything.
Work continues on this project. Nice trail connecting 2 properties and some improved rive access.
Started in on a private project with some nice variety of terrain. Connecting two properties with a trail, to allow for easy travel between the two.
Busy start to summer wrapping up some work for and along with some small residential projects mixed in.
In addition we have a ‘little’ house project going this summer at Tulip Trails compound!
First trail project of the season, working on the Hurricane Trail for . Lots of ledge and rotten rock to work with!
First project of the season begins, a bit later start than the last few years.
I have a small opening in my spring schedule and the snows almost gone. Have a backyard trail idea or small excavation job let me know!
Found some old photos I haven’t looked at in years from the building days. A lot of fun projects with a good crew! Hard to believe it was almost 10 years ago now.
Mid January site visit a few hours south. No snow and the grounds not even frozen.
Looking back on a great year of projects. 10 very different projects across 3 states, and each challenged me in a new way. Crazy to look back and remember the nervous feeling of the unknown the start of each brought.
Thank you to all involved. Any public project has countless volunteer hours behind the scenes to get to the point where I get to show up. So many great people quietly getting s**t done for their community!
That’s a wrap on the season!
Work continues in Gorham as well as a few smaller projects before winter hits. It looked like this season might actually end a bit early, but with temps back in the 40s it looks like work will continue into December.
Work continues in Gorham. This trail will serve as a connecting link so keeping this trail fast and flowy in both directions is the goal.
Excited to be back up in Gorham collaborating with and . This project will finish up my season and the countdown is on.
Some classic New England building conditions with plenty of rocks to play with!
Finally put some hours on the bucket and I had custom made for our 302’s.
It’s oversized and has a longer tongue/bottom like ‘Scandinavian’ style buckets. Overall I like it, although it has made me appreciate the design of a more traditional style bucket. The search for the ‘perfect’ bucket will continue.
It was awesome took the time to work with us to build a fully custom bucket for our application.
Wrapped up my project at Smarts Brook. Working thru some amazing woods!
Back into the woods for the next project. Working with the .s.forestservice and adding some beginner flow to Smarts Brook!
