First Day of School !!! Best wishes to all students, educators and support staff on a great year. September will be an interesting month here at Big Dave’s as we are installing a new operating system in hopes to improve our accuracy and efficiency. I am sure we will have some growing pains but ultimately I believe this will improve the customer experience in our shop. We are also excited to see Best Buddies Champion Campaign begin for Valley resident Amanda. Sign up now for the Corn Hole tournament and look for more events coming soon 😀

We are open until 2 today but have paused online ordering. Our internet up here in the mountains does not hold up when there are this many visitors in the Valley 😜

I met Chef Bobby Marcotte when we filmed Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. He was in our shop as a guest of Guy Fieri’s. At the end of the taping Guy told me that I needed to get in touch with Bobby after the show. I had no idea he was turning me on to such a great dude who I’m now proud to call our good friend. This past Friday was the Alanna Marcotte Memorial Golf Tournament held annually at Windham Country Club. It is an opportunity for us to help a friend honor his daughter and to see tens of thousands of dollars raised for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, so we find a cure to this awful disease. It’s also an opportunity to showcase our goodies to folks a couple of hours south of us. Greatest of times hanging at the Deadproof Pizza tent with those fun folks and esteemed Chef Peter Campbell. All in all it’s always one of my favorite days of the year, and a perfect way to honor a beautiful young lady ❤️

Fun day hanging out with the fine folks from Hoping to bring them north for a pop up at our shop this fall. Great pizzas and even greater people 😀

Besides the Hokey Pokey, That’s what it’s all about 😀

“We ordered for lunch on the way to the beach Saturday. 1/2 of our group ordered from a chain sub shop in North Conway. Every single member of that group was jealous of us. Our sandwiches were absolutely incredible, and for less money, and 2x-3x as large a portion. They won’t make the same mistake again. P.S am I the only one that orders a “snack” beef Pattie to go with my order? Best Patties north of Kingston!"

Jacob hails from North Carolina and served proudly in our Air Force. Sue makes sure we serve our Trail Magic proudly as well. We are thankful to Katy as this is the first year that our hikers are visiting our shop. We are honored to be given the opportunity to show our gratitude. Plus they are all super nice folks 🙏

What an experience 😀

Jameson came in with his grandmother today. I love when I see a well behaved younger person in our shop, especially a grandchild. Sometimes I have to give them a hat 😀

Funny how a water bottle can mean so much sometimes. I left my Best Buddies bottle at the Mount Washington Weather Observatory last week. This was a prize that I received for fundraising and it is actually irreplaceable. I knew it was there from the pic of myself going in. An entire crew of folks scoured the place and after a few days it was found. I’d like to thank all of those involved in helping the safe return of my favorite water bottle ever 🙏

Rosa is a retired Army helicopter pilot who is 2000 miles into the Appalachian Trail. Truly an honor for our shop to host these worthy warrior hikers who sacrificed for our country. Plus they show up hungry, my favorite kind of people 😜
