Good Evening all. I know it’s been a bit. Things on the farm are really hopping right now…. Maybe it’s the grasshoppers
We are well into our Farm Share season. It’s has been a great experience for us. Each basket has been chock full of fresh veggies, eggs, a hand written recipe and a few surprises. Right now we are able to furnish a small flower bouquet as well.
We are contemplating continuing into fall, thoughts?
Here are some pictures of this weeks basket. Three levels to put it all together.
First layer eggs, potatoes, garlic, recipe. Second layer, tomatoes and more tomatoes, flowers.
Third layer beets, green beans, Swiss chard and rosemary.
In other news… we have had fabulous garden visitors.
All my Facebook peeps… we have had a small tragedy on the farm and are looking for a young female kitten. We would prefer 6-8 weeks ish.
Here’s a quick look at high tunnel and gardens.
Today…. This!
Bucket list tonight!
We have the northern lights in central Arkansas. Oh my goodness
So…. It’s a week with a bit extra produce. If you would like to get some farm fresh veggies this weekend, we can help you out.
We have broccoli, kale (3 kinds),
Garlic, lettuce and a bit of spinach, arugula.
We can help you put a basket together for $20…. Farm pickup.
Kitties anyone?
We have had the most fabulous weekend . Saturday, went it with a couple of cool ladies to judge a pageant.
Then yesterday we had folks arrive for eclipse. We have never had four rv’s here before….but worked out beautifully… a memorable time for sure.
Good Evening All! Things in the farm are really starting to look like spring has arrived.
We have been doing lots of tasks, getting ready for the growing season. Our produce is coming along nicely and our farm is looking very spruced up and spiffy!
Today, I got to see the chicken dragon!
Big exciting news… we have our very first Farm Share baskets out this week…. We had romaine lettuce, butter crunch lettuce, arugula, spinach, two types of kale, a bunch of radishes, a dozen eggs and a recipe for Sautéed Radish Greens.
A wonderful day!
Good Evening Peeps!
It’s like spring on the farm. I know we have a couple of chilly days ahead…. But it’s still springtime.
The farm is blooming all over.
Things are growing and it’s so cool! Take a peek at what’s going on…
We took a little farm field trip today and went to the Faulkner County Seed Swap. We were able to pick up some very fabulous seeds. There will be a great harvest, hopefully.
Then we came home and got some gardening done.
I’m working on cleaning the raised beds for berries and flowers. Thus before and after pics. Also, we have gotten lots of little seedlings in the ground.
And…. We have some pretty flowers as well.
It’s beginning to look and feel like spring on the farm.
We have gotten our load of compost… it is getting spread out and seedlings are starting to go in ground.
Tomatoes are tiny but mighty… they are doing well for February.
There has been something going on behind the scenes for quite some time.
We have a new website being built.. it will be live before too long.
Here’s a quick peek of the new look.
Good Evening all,
We are very busy planning and working for our Farm Share coming this spring.
The test garden is doing well.
The soil is getting tilled, will be amended and planted soon.
We are looking at putting in some cutting flowers as well… hopefully nice little bouquets will be our reward!
We still have one or two shares left, if you are interested… let me know… I’ll be in touch.
We did a bit of a road trip today to Hot Springs… went to the Arkansas Grown and Arkansas Made Conference. Learning more about growing veggies.
Great day of networking as well.
Well…even with all the gross weather that we have had…. We pulled this out of the high tunnel today.
We are definitely encouraged!
We do still have a couple farm shares left for this growing seasons… if interested please reach out to us.
Update: we have sold about half of our farm shares. We are not doing more that 10 in this inaugural season. If you are interested, send a message and we will visit about it. We are excited!

Our inaugural Farmer Skip’s Farm Share will begin in spring 2024. This is a goal we have worked toward for several years and we are now beginning our first year of farm share. By becoming a member, you will receive a portion of our harvest.
The farm share is a relationship between us as a grower and you as a member.
Our goal is to provide 4 to 5 fresh types of produce in each basket. We are looking at running a 10 week share that will be available through the 2024 growing season. You do not have to request a basket for 10 consecutive weeks, you must request all 10 baskets during the growing season. This way you are not locked into getting a basket until you ready for it. We will provide a basket for each shareholder. Each share will run $200.00. We are hopeful to begin distribution late March to early April.
Our farm is small and unique so the offerings may vary a bit during the year. This farm share is meant to be fun and enjoyable.
We are proud of the fact that we do not use chemicals on our farm and that we are using natural fertilizer, produced on our farm.
We will start with several types of greens, lettuces, arugula, kale, and hopefully spinach. There will be radishes, several types. We are hopeful for beets and carrots. As the season warms, we will have additional crops.
Thank you for your consideration of participating in our inaugural farm share.
This may not look like much produce….but this is our first harvest from the high tunnel.
We have lettuce, spinach, arugula, kale, and radish.
We are so excited to start pulling produce out of our tunnel.
We are looking at trying our hand at a small CSA share this spring. This will be for a limited amount of folks. We will start with ten. It will be a ten week share. Each share will consist of four or five items each week. I am in the process of putting together details now.
Thoughts?
We would just like to take a minute to wish all of our wonderful friends and family a very Merry Christmas. We have had such a great time celebrating this glorious season. See you all in the new year.
Good Morning all!
One of the things I learned as I traveled our fair state as Arkansas State Fair Sr.Ms.Queen, is that there are so many wonderful things happening in our
communities. It has become my desire to take more time and enjoy what our towns and our state has to offer. The last two evenings we have attended theater productions. Both of them were incredibly wonderful. Two very different productions, but both very moving.
We will be attending more activities in the coming weeks.
I encourage you to look in your community and see what amazing events are out there for you and your family to enjoy.
We are blessed to have so many offerings.
Last day of Arkansas Craft Guild Annual Christmas Showcase at the State Fairgrounds. Come and visit for a bit.
