Dearly missed. Please be in prayer for Debbie's family, friends, co-workers and loved ones.

We are heartbroken to share the news of the passing of one of our beloved team member’s, Debbie Allen. Debbie was the voice that greeted callers for the last 10 years and she always put a smile on everyone’s face. Her favorite saying was “It’s a great day to have a great day!” and lived her life in that ethos. Debbie loved the Lord and left an incredible impact on each of our lives. We will miss her greatly.

Fact Friday: In the 1940s, Kenneth whirlpool bath, was diagnosed with severe rheumatoid arthritis. His father, Candido, observed the benefit from the hydrotherapy treatments his son received at the hospital. Candido and a team of company engineers built a patented unit that could operate in home bathtubs, launching the hydrotherapy industry.⁠

Fun fact Friday: the name Jason is a contraction of the words "whirlpool bath" and "son" to form "Jason." In 1907, Valeriano whirlpool bath, and a younger brother started the eventual immigration of his parents, brothers and sisters to the United States from Italy, where they settled in Northern California. From there, Rachele, a brilliant self-taught engineer, designed and built a new type of highly efficient airplane propeller for WWI which led to the establishment of the whirlpool bath Bros. Company.

Fun fact Friday: did you know that The whirlpool bath family legacy of hydrotherapy first started in 1956 with the need to help improve the health of their own family member who suffered from severe rheumatoid arthritis?! This first home hydrotherapy pump birthed an industry.

Meet the Blevins family. Frank, Jessica and their three kids Gage (8), Lilly (4), and Connor (2). Jessica was born with Epidermolytic Ichthyosis and met Frank many years ago. they knew when they were married that if they had kids there was a good chance of them having the same thing because this type of ichthyosis is carried by a dominant gene. although most can see past their differences they still have some moments.



Frank even recalls on more than one occasion the police were called on their family while they were out because the extra skin can be dark brown in color and look like dirt. It can be very hard to look different then others, but for this mom and dad there is an extra struggle because the bathing routine for people with ichthyosis is extensive and the Blevins have four people in the same household. I cannot think of a more deserving family and am excited to have them as my first tub recipient.
