The Rhode Island Community Food Bank is offering SNAP assistance every 4th Thursday of each month from 930 am-1130 am here at Rhode Island Center Assisting Those in Need. From new applications to troubleshooting benefit problems, Johanny will be here to help!

Dawn from Tri-County Community Action will be at Rhode Island Center Assisting those in Need on Thursday, March 9th, and Thursday, April 13th, from 9 am-1130 am assisting people with new and renewal heating assistance applications. This is also a great opportunity for those who are looking to volunteer with us for “COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS”! You can receive up to 8 hours in one day! 💪🙂

Please be courteous and respectful to those in attendance and to our volunteers.

We have a bit of a local disaster on our hands that is affecting our founder and many of her neighbors. Pipes burst in one of the Canterbury apartment buildings in North Providence this morning pouring water throughout multiple areas and apartments of the 3 story building. There is no running water or usable bathrooms for at least the next 3 days. The Red Cross is involved and the North Providence Mancini Center has been opened as an emergency shelter and meal site for building tenants and their pets who may need help. We are looking to collect water for drinking and flushing, along with blankets to get to our founder and other residents who cannot relocate to the shelter as easily as others. Please message us or reach out to the North Providence Mancini Center if you can help.

Do not enter the parking lot by the athletic field. That entrance is for people picking up their children from school. Enter from Factory St. only.

❤️ Please be mindful that school is now back in session. The safety of the children and buses are our first priority.

🎅 Anyone who is in the vicinity of the Civic Center including any side streets before 3:00 pm will be asked to leave and not return until the following week.

🎅🎅If you are in the lot or on any of the side streets before 3:00 pm you will be asked to leave. Please be kind to the volunteers if they ask you to leave, they are just doing their job. If you are rude to the volunteers, then you will not be able to shop for the week.

Do not arrive until after the parking lot is open at 3:00 pm.

🌩⚡️If lightning is present, we will have to close. If it is only raining, we WILL BE open. Please watch our Facebook group page for any changes or call.

🌞 Open to anyone who missed there day to shop this week, last name or age does not matter, 60 and older & 🇺🇸 Veterans.
