Code Blue Pool Care

The freeze is coming!! Be prepared to winterize your pool if needed. When freezing weather hits, the freeze protection should kick on to prevent your pool equipment from freezing. This means that all your pumps should be running constantly until the temperature is back above freezing. However, should the power go out or for some reason your freeze protector is not functioning properly. You may need to winterize your equipment.

1. Make sure to turn off the main power or breaker.
2. Open air relief valve on top of the filter.
3. Remove all plugs from the pumps, filter and heater.
4. Remove the lids from the pumps and allow all water to drain out. Place all plugs inside the pump basket so that you don't lose them. Place pump lids back on the pump, but do not tighten them all the way.
