The shows are coming down to the wire. After tonight, there are two shows left. So come on down and get your favorite foods, listen to live music, and check out the beautiful cars that stroll down 7th Avenue.

Stop in to purchase this year’s t-shirts and pick up a car show bandana for your pet, or yourself. The bandanas and shirts can be found at Main Drag Vintage & Collectibles, located at 2533 7th Avenue E.

See you tonight...

Due to construction, the entrance to the History Cruze is at Margaret St and 7th Avenue E. The show is still "oneway" going east but there is parking on the block west of Margaret St. The "Yellow Shirts" will monitor the area and if there are open parking spaces, they will let people in to fill the parking spaces in that block. No cruzing in that block will be allowed, it would be too dangerous having "two-way" traffic and walkers. Our food vendors from the construction area have been moved down for all of our visitors that love their normal menu items. The construction has our business parking limited, parking spaces before 6 pm is needed for their customers. If their business parking is taken up by classic cars so their customers can’t park, they will complain to the city. If the city gets too many complaints, they will cancel the permits and the show will be shut down! Help us continue to provide the show so we all have a place to come on Friday nights. For those that think we don’t notice, having someone bring the daily driver and then taking that spot when she leaves is not acceptable. Bringing your newer than 1975 car earlier than 6:00 and then staying is just bad form and it makes a lot of people “upset” (to say the least). North St. Paul has a two-hour parking limit during non-show hours, so if you try these tactics you are subject to a ticket. Remember, all the people in yellow shirts are volunteers – no one is getting paid. The History Cruze in a non-profit organization. The money we get from vendor fees and sponsorships helps fund the show (permit fees, insurance, porta-potties, etc.) and any funds left at the end of the year goes to local charities. The North St. Paul Council approves new downtown parking ordinance.
The City Council approved an ordinance change on the consent agenda on Tuesday, June 20. The new ordinance gives Council authority by resolution to restrict the parking of any motor vehicle, trailer, snowmobile, or bike of any kind in the Business District of the City.
The revised ordinance expands the definition of the Business District to include Charles St. from 8th Ave. E. (extending if from Charles and 7th Ave. E. The newly approved ordinance also adds the following restriction that from June 1 through October 1 that no vehicle shall park in any area of the Business District for more than two hours between the times of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
