✨ Just announced! ✨ We're having a Teddy Bear Picnic and you're invited! Join us for our next Explore Even More class on May 27th, for ages 3-4. We’ll start our day playing in the Tree House and Farm to Fork. There will be puzzles and sensory bins to play with, and new friends to make! We’ll make bear themed crafts and read bear-themed stories. We’ll end our day with story time and snack- picnic style! Don’t forget to bring your teddy bear, they can join the fun!

We're excited to share that we have received our Sensory Inclusive™ Certification from KultureCity, the nation's leading nonprofit on sensory accessibility and acceptance for those with invisible disabilities.

In addition to staff training on how to recognize guests’ sensory needs and how to handle a sensory overload situation, we also now offer sensory bags from KultureCity equipped with noise-reducing headphones provided by Puro Sound Labs, fidget tools, verbal cue cards, and weighted lap pads for guests who may feel overwhelmed during their visit. Please visit our admissions desk to request a sensory bag to use during your visit.

Prior to visiting, you can download the free KultureCity App where one can view what sensory features are available at the BMS.

And in case you missed it, the Museum is hosting its next Sensory Night featuring the Reinventing Reality exhibit next Friday, April 28, from 5-8 p.m.! There are a limited number of tickets available for this special evening where limited exhibit sounds will provide a comfortable and fun evening of learning and exploration! Plus, guests may enjoy hands-on sensory activities featuring kinetic sand fossil digs, tactile collection items, arts and crafts, and so much more.
