36 yrs ago today, your favorite lash artist was born (haha). Thank you all for always making me feel so special!

I’m grateful to all of those who helped Tina during such a horrible time. It hurts my heart to say that she passed away over the weekend. I know a lot of you donated to the initial fundraiser, but if you’re able to donate to help her husband Chris cover the cost of a memorial service, it would mean a lot. Chris did a truly beautiful, and admirable job taking care of Tina. Thanks to him, she felt surrounded by love every day. Everyone who loved and worried about Tina, was able to worry a little less knowing that she had Chris beside her. It’s important that we let Chris know we are all still here to support him. Tina is the kindest person I have ever known. She had a way of greeting you like you were just the person she’d been waiting for. She never stood for gossip, as she didn’t like seeing others have their feelings hurt unnecessarily. She was also hilarious. I will miss our walks forever. From speed walking alongside people who cut us off while I pushed her in her wheel chair, to the way she’d cheer when I bumped her up uneven sidewalks, and the talks we’d have at our favorite bench, my friendship with Tina will always have a special place in my heart that nothing else can touch. I will even miss sitting beside her, doing my homework while she slept, because I was just grateful to still have time with her. She said if there was one thing she wanted everyone to know, it was that she loved them.

New product alert! Prostaglandin free, making them much more gentle yet just as effective! Brow Bond is my new preferred serum for my clients looking for brow enhancement, as brows have a much harder time growing in than lashes, and brow specific serums are much stronger than serums which are meant to be used on both. Lash Bond is my preferred serum for extensions clients as it is applied to the lash line and won’t affect retention. InLei Adiutrix is still my preferred serum for lash lift clients as it costs, repairs, and strengthens the entire lash.

Prevacation wet look lashes!

Friendly reminder that cleansing lashes is a MUST to avoid build up, prevent bacterial infections, and achieve ideal retention. Body oil breaks down adhesive, the same as oil based products do. While washing your face is also a must, if the cleanser isn’t directly touching your lashes, how can it clean them? No matter how gentle you think it is, if your facial cleanser doesn’t specify that it’s safe for use on your eyes, or safe for extensions, that means it’s not! Even Johnson, and Johnson has stated that their baby shampoo isn’t intended for use on eyes, specifically citing that it’s not recommended for use on lash extensions. Every client has unique needs, from life style, to lash type, and skin type. One cleanser doesn’t necessarily fit all. Check out my wide array during your next appointment.

Retention, and eye health are a joint effort. Keeping your lashes, and lids clean is essential in preventing bacterial buildup, and premature shedding of lashes. I carry a range of cleansers, and makeup removing products that are made specifically for clients who receive lash services, and nourish natural lashes in addition to keeping them squeaky clean!

I spent 2.5 yrs testing growth serums, and Lash Lift aftercare products, before choosing InLei. Adiutrix is a plant based, hormone free growth serum. For those of us with sensitive lash lines, this is a great option, because it won’t make your lash line tender. In addition to noticeably longer lashes, it thickens, and strengthens lashes, and brows. Fashion lash is a nutrient rich clear mascara that promotes lash growth, deep conditions, and prolongs tint. New product alert! Fluff Guard is a cleanser that doesn’t require rinsing. While it’s a great fit for all clients, it’s especially convenient for clients who love to workout. Just sprit on a brush, and run it through your lashes! Foam cleanser is still recommended for clients who wear eye makeup on a regular basis, or who have very oily skin, as it will do a better job of removing buildup.

Best brow balm around! I’m super excited to be carrying this product. I’ve used it on myself for a couple of years now. Professional quality, but client friendly. It’s clear, and buildable which means clients with any brow type can use it. It works amazingly well for anyone with coarse, uncooperative brow hair.
