The Northborough Fire Department sent out a notice this morning.
What is a Red Flag Warning?
The combination of heat, low humidity, dry debris, and strong winds set the stage for wildfires. When this confluence of conditions occurs, the National Weather Service (NWS) can issue a Red Flag Warning indicating a heightened risk of wildfires or an already-ignited fire.
When the NWS declares Red Flag Warning, the Northborough Fire Department will suspend all open burning, meaning no backyard cooking fires or burning yard debris. It is also critical that you use caution when outdoors when operating any equipment that could emit sparks or when disposing of any smoking materials. Please help us keep you and your neighbors safe!

Help NEF make Team Trivia Night Happen!
If you have not yet registered for Team Trivia Night, but do plan to attend, please register asap (like now or within the next few days). Unfortunately, if we do not receive 5-6 more team registrations, we will need to cancel the event.
Team Trivia Night has been one of the most successful NEF events for years and we know that not being able to hold it in person over the past few years (thanks, COVID!) has impacted its popularity. If you've attended in the past, join us again and tell your friends! 100% of the profits from this event support our grants program which awards funding that goes directly to the Northborough Public Schools.
We hope to see you there! (Note: if we are unable to hold this event, teams that have already registered will of course receive a full refund). We truly will do all we can to not cancel this awesome night!
Team Trivia Night will be held on Friday, March 24th, 2023 at the Doubletree, 5400 Computer Drive in Westborough. Doors open at 7 pm and the first question is at 7:30 pm.
Register your team of 2-4 players by March 20. Spectators are welcome with a $10 suggested donation at the door.
