NJWC wishes all lovely mothers very "Happy Mother's Day"!
On Mother's Day eve, Northboro Junior Woman's Club (NJWC) is pleased to donate Spring Flower Corsage pins to Assisted Living at Whitney Place in Northboro, MA.
Our club members gathered and made bows for the corsages and happily delivered on the perfect eve on Mother's Day! Hope the residents at Whitney Place enjoy these beauties in honor of Mother's Day.
These gorgeous flowers were brought from Chris Bakutis at Mugford Flower Shoppe in Westboro offered to provide at generous cost to the club. We thank them for their generosity!
NJWC is pleased to donate an eTrainer Passive Assist exercise bike for The Coleman House in Northboro, MA.
This exercise bike will provide a gentle way for residents with limited mobility to increase their activity and develop sufficient strength training to perform daily activities and tasks.
Many residents at Coleman House are very happy to use the bike, see what they have to say –
~ The bike is great. It is working so well on my arms and legs
~ I love the bike. I feel I am getting stronger after I started using it
See below Nancy, our member of NJWC using the bike under the guidance of Mrs. Nidhi Chudasama, PT. DPT. at Colman House, Northboro
A new member joining us tonight, welcome Sarah.
Every year during month of April, Northborough Junior Woman's Club (NJWC) club members plant over 450 pinwheels to commemorate National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Prevent Child Abuse America is the leading national organization that works solely to prevent the abuse and neglect of our nation's children.
This year one of Boy's Scout Troop no.1 student Eshan Naik helped us get this project done single handedly with our volunteers. We thank Eshan for his service and dedication. You can see the Pinwheels at "American Legion" on West Main st, Northborough and at the corner of "Northborough Shopping Center" in Northborough, MA
”Pinwheels for Prevention” was launched by Prevent Child Abuse America to raise funds through the sale of pinwheels to educate people about the effects of child abuse and ways to prevent it. The hope is to engage all people in our society to act to prevent abuse and neglect from happening. Pinwheels represent hope, a call to action, and the bright and healthy future we want for all children.
Thank you to all the sponsors!
We can’t stop thinking about all the fun we had today. We could not have done it without the help of our presenters who took time from their Saturday to share their expertise to the girls. THANK YOU!
Another successful STEM conference where memories were made and lives changed. Exposing middle schoolers to professions they otherwise would not have known about will open so many doors. Thank you to all the participants who came!
Thank you Mary Ellen for all your hard work to make today so successful.
Sneak peak of behind the scene shots. There is a lot of preparation that takes place to make the STEM conference a success.
