I just read that for every pound of weight we purchase, plastic is double that weight. Wow. That’s a LOT of plastic.
I have young kids and it’s important that I teach them about the earth, the environment and how to help keep our planet 🌏 clean for the next generation and onward.
It starts at home with the food we eat and the waste we produce. I try to buy produce, meat and fruit that isn’t wrapped in plastic (not always easy.) I bring my own bags to the store, I recycle and reuse as much as possible.
It continues in my salon with my products. I use the products because it’s important for me to be chemical free and I ❤️ the fact that the products are glass and aluminium and infinitely recyclable. I upcycle the bottles into candles, herb jars and trinket bottles.
Recycled materials are one of the very precious tools that we can use help to fight climate change. If my efforts help spread the word and make a tiny blip in the climate crisis, then I’m a happy woman.
