Friendship Circle Illinois
Creating friendships between individuals of all abilities in Chicagoland
We are humbled and blown away by the show of support and good times had by all last week at the Walk4Friendship!!
What a fabulous event! The people, the atmosphere, the energy, the activities, the sunshine! Thank you Hashem for the perfect weather! And most of all, for the beautiful sense of community.
We walked together for inclusivity because that’s what’s important and that’s who we are 💪!
This annual tradition of coming together for Walk4Friendship is a celebration of the special needs community and the infinite value of every individual. It was an honor to be there with you. So so many friends showed up because Am Yisrael Chai!!
At the height of our joy, we paused to say a prayer for our brothers and sisters in Israel.
A huge thank you to the many volunteers who came out to help.
Enjoy this photo album! Thank you to Lorra Rudman and Michael Lash Photography.

Of all the Biblical holidays, Shavuot is perhaps the least-known. There are no public sukkahs, no boisterous seders and no piercing shofars. But its significance cannot be overstated. It’s the anniversary of the day when G-d came down on Mount Sinai and gifted us with His Torah.
Shavuot starts before sunset tonight, June 11 and lasts until nightfall on Thursday, June 13, is a holiday rife with significance and deep spirituality.
Join us, or a synagogue near you, with your entire family tomorrow (June 12) to hear the 10 Commandments as we relive this profound moment together.
The Reading of the Ten Commandments is the essence of Shavuot; it is the commemoration of the moment G‑d gave the Torah and we became a nation.
No matter what you're looking forward to, we are here to assist you in making this Shavuot the most memorable and meaningful one yet!
With wishes that we all re-accept the Torah this Shavuot joyfully and deeply,
Rabbi Zelik and Bassie Moscowitz

With inaugural event, Northfield is latest town to host a community menorah lighting - The Record The menorah is supposed to be seen, according to Rabbi Zelik Moscowitz, of The Friendship Circle in Northbrook, making community menorah lightings a symbolic gesture of Hanukkah’s meaning as much as a celebration of the holiday itself. Beyond crafting exceptional bread, our mission extends to providing vocational training for special needs individuals through the art of baking.

Have you ever run a marathon?
If so, I’m sure you know what so many runners say. The final stretch is actually the longest. The finish line is so close – yet so far.
You know you can get to the end, but it’s still just beyond your reach, so you think about why you’re doing this, you remind yourself why the goal is important, and you remember all the people cheering you on.
Then you push, push, push until – thank G-d! – you’ve made it across.
Right now, we’re at the final stretch too. With 3 days to go, we’re at 77% of our goal.
This is when we do whatever we can to make it across.
We’re remembering why we’re doing this – for all the kids with special needs who shine at Friendship Circle.
We’re remembering why it’s important – because every soul deserves acceptance.
Zelik, can you cheer for Friendship Circle and encourage us across the finish line?
Your support inches us closer to the final goal – and to the real win, which is a community of inclusive warmth and love. Please help us by donating at www.ILwalk.com today!
We hope to see you on Sunday at the Walk4Friendship at Willow Park in Northfield at 10:00am!
