It is prime season for army worms. If you notice any spots in your lawn that look like insect chewing damage (see pictures) you may have them. As you can see in the video, one treatment can knock them out.

Due to the recent extreme heat as well as lack of rainfall, I delayed beginning the next round for a few weeks. Based on the forecast I plan to get started next week.

Applying herbicides in ambient temperatures above 90 degrees or on turf that is heat or drought stressed can cause severe chlorosis to the turf.

Due to the extensive rains, I am roughly a day behind my aeration schedule. If I’ve emailed you a date, it will likely be one day later before I get to you.

This week I will be finishing up round 1 of treatments and begin round 2. It is really warm early this year, so don't wait to get on the schedule!

This is one week after the first treatment. Those w**ds were green and thriving just a few days ago. Now you can clearly see the chlorosis as the herbicide kills them.

Temperatures in West Alabama are going to break 80 degrees this week. Now is the time to get down that pre emergent. If you haven't done it yet, I would be happy to help you out.
