Giesa for Northville
2021 Campaign to re-elect Patrick Giesa to Northville City Council HELLO! I’m Patrick Giesa and I’m running for my second term on the Northville City Council.
My goal as a city council member is to ensure that our children and our children's children will be able to enjoy Northville the way we enjoy it today. I’ve been a resident of Michigan since 1982 and I have lived in Northville since 1998. I was elected to City Council in November 2017. I serve as Council liaison to Northville’s Board of Zoning Appeals and the Northville Senior Advisory Council. I
Campaign Afterthoughts
The end was abrupt, but I'm not disappointed with the results. I’m lucky to have had the experience of serving on Northville City Council.
I met a lot of great people and I made a lot of new friends. I learned firsthand about city politics and procedures. I stand by my contributions and I have no regrets. Those fast four years have already become a small wrinkle in the fabric of Northville’s history.
John Carter and Andy Krenz are highly qualified and well versed. We all had very similar campaign platforms. They have Northville in their hearts. Both men will be tremendous assets to our city. Either man could fill my shoes in a minute.
If I had been re-elected, I would be 76 by the end of my term. Now I can spend more time with friends, family and getting outdoors. Now I can do those things I have yet to do.
Who knows, with all the new development in town, maybe an opportunity will pop up that I can't refuse.
To all who helped with the your inputs, your time and/or your pocketbooks, you have my deepest gratitude.
I am a lucky man!
Campaign Ending
Just a quick note to thank my neighbors, my friends and the Northville voters for stepping forward and getting involved in our democratic process. Even in a small city such as ours, people became involved with campaigns, wrote letters, distributed flyers, hosted “Meet The Candidate” events, placed yard signs, made campaign donations and voted absentee, or will cast their vote today. Your voice and vote will make a difference!
Also, big thanks to fellow candidates, John Carter and Andrew Krenz. From the beginning, we agreed to conduct level and clean campaigns and those two gentlemen have been worthy opponents, focusing only on their advantages, merits and goals as they campaigned. A good quote that compliments their efforts:
“All great human deeds both consume and transform their doers. Consider an athlete, or a scientist, or an artist, or an independent business creator. In the service of their goals they lay down time and energy and many other choices and pleasures; in return, they become most truly themselves. -Lois McMaster Bujold, author (b. 2 Nov 1949)”
I’m extremely thankful for the new friends and acquaintances I’ve made over last four years on council. Your opinions and involvement were and always will be high-value inputs in my decisions.
If re-elected, I look forward to talking, listening and working with you for another four years.
Very Gratefully,
Patrick

Patrick has Integrity!
It is a pleasure to recommend Patrick Giesa for re-election to the City Council. I have known Patrick for over seven years. I first met him through the Northville Rotary Club. Then, as a member of the Board of Zoning Appeals, I got to know him as our liaison with City Council. With over 3.5 years on City Council, Pat has the experience to handle the challenges and opportunities coming in the next four years. He is also new enough that he still brings new ideas to the table. Patrick has demonstrated that he is a team player but is not afraid to take a stand for what he believes is right. He is a rare person who demonstrates service, good judgement, integrity and dedication.
I am happy to offer my unqualified endorsement for Patrick Giesa’s re-election to the Northville City Council.

A Dedicated Public Servant!
“I am more than happy to provide a personal reference for Patrick for his second term on the Northville City Council. I have known Patrick as both a Rotarian and a friend for the last five years and he is one of the most dedicated and hardworking people I know. He is also compassionate and kind and never misses the opportunity to help others. Patrick is the kind of person who can keep a cool head in a stressful situation and his positive attitude is contagious.”
