JoAnn Portalupi is a 500 RYT and Kripalu certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor. Her yoga practice is informed by her training in Raja yoga in India and at the Ayurveda and Yoga schools at Kripalu as well as her 20 plus years of practice in a variety forms of yoga.

Her yoga classes are based on the science of Ayurveda which seeks health and wellness through maintaining a balanced body regardless of the ever-changing environment in which we live.

Yoga classes in January will therefore be designed to offset the cool, dry, harsh, and at times erratic nature of winter by bringing in the opposite qualities of warmth, juiciness, rhythm and grounding. This shows up through breath work, rhythmic vinyasas and poses that build gentle heat and groundedness.

Appropriate for all levels.

Our Seasonal Self Practice Circles offer guided meditation journeys and other self reflective tools to invite the unique medicine of seasonal transitions into your energetic body.

We come together once a week for four weeks over zoom to experience a dynamic guided meditation journey designed to harmonize our inner environment with our outer environment.

During the week between meetings, we each engage with the meditation and other tools discussed in the circle daily. As we return to the circle the following week, we take the opportunity to share what we have learned and enjoyed in our process, creating a fertile ground where each can thrive in their singular way.

Those who choose to join the circle may attend four live sessions, scheduled for October 9, 16, 23, and 30 from 2-3:30pm EST. Recordings will be provided for those unable to attend live. In each session, I will offer a guided meditation journey that will shape the self-guided practice each of us will commit to daily until we meet again the following week.
