worldwide, at times of special need through the construction and
distribution of handmade cloth dolls
Every Giving Doll is accompanied by a blanket and tote bag. Our supply of blankets is extremely low. We could use your help. The blankets can be crocheted, knitted or quilted. Finished size must be 24 inches by 24 inches (2 feet by 2 feet) Any pattern or design (no wool yarn) The headquarters in Norton will be closed until September 3rd. You can drop off finished blankets in our donation bin on the porch or come see us every Tuesday and Thursday from 10-2 ,2561 Wadsworth Road starting September 2nd. Thanks for your help.
Recently made a visit to The Giving Doll Chapter in Alvin Texas. What a wonderful group of ladies. They made Jan, Mark and Macie feel like family. So proud of all they have accomplished and the difference they have made comforting children in their area. Bless Their Hearts!!!
Special request doll for a 9-year-old girl, who wears hearing aids. Thank you to Modern Hearing Solutions in Wadsworth for providing the hearing aids for our doll.
The Giving Doll: 70,000 handmade dolls to children in need The nonprofit has been around for nearly 20 years, providing handmade dolls to sick children around the world.
The Giving Doll donated 20 dolls to Akron Children’s Hospital during their Radiothon. Dolls helped raise money for the hospital and then were taken to be given to children coming into the Emergency Department.
The Giving Doll would LOVE to receive Valentines in the form of Joann Fabric Gift cards, in any amount, to purchase much needed body fabric. Drop them off at our Headquarters 2561 Wadsworth Road in Norton on Tuesdays or Thursday from 10-2 or mail to P.O. Box 972 Wadsworth Ohio 44282. Thank you for helping us make a difference in the lives of some very special children.
The Giving Doll donated 30 dolls to Paula from Richland County Children Services for their Foster Care Program at a recent Stinger Harley Event.
Thank you to Lindsay Buckingham from Channel 3 in Cleveland for stopping by the Giving Doll Headquarters to meet with Jan and Paula and going to Metro Hospital in Cleveland to film giving doll 70,000 to one of their patients. The Giving Doll will be featured on an upcoming "Heart Strings. "

Help with matching up dolls, blankets and bags in order to fill doll requests, and other volunteer opportunities. 2561 Wadsworth Road in Norton. Open Tuesdays and Thursdays 10-2. Spend an hour or more making a difference.
The Giving Doll is always in need of volunteers. There are a lot of opportunities, that do not involve sewing. Come join Elaine, and others to help with stuffing the doll bodies. The Giving Doll starts 2024 with reaching the milestone of donating 70,000 dolls to children worldwide in need of comfort. The Headquarters at 2561 Wadsworth Road in Norton, Ohio reopens on Tuesday January 9th from 10 -2 and will be open every Tuesday and Thursday from 10-2, thereafter. Volunteers are always needed. Stop by and see how you can get involved.
