Line painting crews will be in town again this evening to touch up the fog lines on various arterial and secondary roads. Work is scheduled to begin at 10pm and last throughout the evening.

Please use caution while approaching the work area. Police and Highway personnel will be working alongside our contractor to maintain a safe work zone for the traveling public and paint crews.

Spring clean-ups are scheduled to begin on April 1st, at both Washington St and Stetson Meadow Cemeteries. Staff will be removing all graveside holiday decorations and ornaments to allow for clean-up and maintenance of the grounds.

If plot owners wish to keep these items, please remove them prior to April 1st.

Forest St. Repairs have been completed for the day. The road is passable with one lane open at this time. Minor clean up and paving will be completed tomorrow. Thank you for your patience.

**WORK DELAYED DUE TO WEATHER**

Good afternoon, Norwell.

Late this morning a compromised drainage culvert was discovered on Forest St. At this time, traffic has been restricted to one lane in the area of the failure. Repairs will begin tomorrow morning at 7AM and Forest St. will be closed between both ends of Circuit St. until they're completed; This is estimated to take 2 days but could be longer. Foot traffic along the Forest St. pathway will be closed during repairs as well.

Attached below is a map showing the location of the repair and where traffic will be restricted. Residents will be able to access up to 159 Forest St. traveling eastbound. Westbound traffic will have access to 210 Forest St.

Please respect all road closures and signage, detail officers will be in the area during work hours.

We will update with any changes and notify everyone when the repairs are completed.

Crews are continuing to clear roadways and address hazard trees throughout town. National Grid is in town removing tree’s related to their power lines/utilities.

Please stay clear of any downed wires/debris, never assume that a downed line is safe to approach.

If a road is blocked off, it is for your own safety as well as the crews working in the area. I cannot stress this enough; PLEASE LEAVE THE BARRICADES IN PLACE. Everyone’s safety is our top priority and it’s understood that the closures are frustrating.

We are anticipating that roads will be fully open by the end of today.

Construction has been non-stop since initial groundbreaking; progress is ahead of schedule and we are expecting to be fully operational before the end of this year!

First Parish Rd will be closed to thru traffic on Monday 07/24 through the early afternoon hours between Summer St and the Scituate Town line. Travel will be restricted from Scituate to local traffic only from the intersection of Grove St and First Parish rd.

Tree Crews will be setting up heavy equipment to remove trees in the area that have been deemed hazardous to public safety along this section of road. Detour signage will be in place as well as detail officers to assist with traffic. Please use caution if traveling through the area, we will update the road opening as soon as possible.
