He won the boys’ shot put (60 feet, 3 inches) and discus (159-9) at the CIAC Outdoor Track & Field State Open in New Britain, following triumphs in the Class LL and ECC championships.

It’s important to Goderre that she’s known for more than just her golf game. She enjoys filming and videography. She writes for her high school website “NFA Red & White.” She authored an article in April for The Day sports section about the growth of women’s sports.

We are grateful for the support our community shows our teams and athletes. We also want to make you aware of a business, usually with a contact named Jane Lester, soliciting ads for a seasonal pocket schedule for our athletic teams. This is not an official NFA schedule, and we do not receive one cent from any support of it. We have done our best to block this (to no avail), and we have told numerous businesses individually about this. We know 'Jane Lester' is again trying to find supporters, so we wanted to share this information with as many as possible. Any sponsorship solicitation for NFA will come directly from an NFA representative.

Hit 'em well, boys!

The top two male and female athletes in the senior class are recognized at our annual athletic awards ceremony, which was held Tuesday night in Alumni Gym. The top female athletes receive the Shearer-Curtis Cup and the Charles P. Hamblen Athletic Award. The top male athletes receive the Fletcher-Willey Cup and the Varsity “N” Club Cup. Hannah Graham and Logan Jenkins were recognized as our top senior athletes, followed by Gage Hinkley and Alice Rourke.
